We waited one hour for a table outside for dinner. Once seated the server promptly came and took our drink order and dinner order. Food did not arrive quickly and our kids were beginning to get really hungry after all the waiting we had to do.
Once the meals came out they were tasty and hot. I had the Haleakala Lava Flow Prawns from the smaller menu (A Taste of Paradise) with a cup of Clam Chowder. The soup was hearty with nice chunks of clams and the Prawns had just the right amount of spice. Our server was not very attentive and as we were finishing our meal and looked around, we realized that all the other tables were receiving a bread basket as they waited for their meal. Not sure why we didn't receive bread while we were waiting and we didn't get a chance to ask the waiter because he was buzzing around so quickly.
All in all, the food was good, the view was nice (once you looked past the fresh water lagoon that was a bit stagnant). The service was lacking but I guess that's what you get in a beach town.
