Landmark: Everyone from the area and many from all over have learned of Gayles. Its a crazy busy deli & bakery with to die for food. You can eat there (cozy fireplace in winter or cold days) or take it with.
First thing you do when you get there: browse. Just mill around and take it all in, check out everything! Then when you'v figured out the dozen or so things you want - grab a number! Before long you will hear your umber called and they will get your selections ready for you, get you to the cashier and bang you're good to go!
Gayle's also has a decent coffee bar (but Pete's is located just down the strew) and some decent local wines (by the bottle).
Cyclists will want to make Gayle's a lunch stop or start/finish for a ride and chill on the outside deck.
Food-wise, my favorite things at Gayle's are the bakery items - cookies, cakes, tortes, pastries.
Great hangout for weekend brunch but deli-style not cafe-style food.
