“Excellent Mexican Food”

We used to go to Casa de Bandini when it was housed in Old Town, and I was so excited when I found it again. Same old delicious food. Marachi band was playing music. A very fun and authentic Mexican feel. The margaritas are to die for. I mixed the strawberry and mango flavors. YUM!

“Great Mexican food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 March 2014

This is a sister restaurant to Casa Guadalajara in Old Town San Diego. The food is EXCELLENT, and the staff is great. It is a very noisy restaurant and, while fun, it is better to be seated outside if you can. There are wandering musicians, fresh homemade tortillas and all of the food is prepared to order. Friends from out of town always want to go back! Enjoy

“Simply delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2014 via mobile

Wonderful spot! They make the tortillas in front of you and if you go over to watch they give you free samples!! They also had some great vegetarian options (my daughter got the veggie fajitas and loved them) and some "healthy options" ( I got the mango chicken burrito and it was awesome!) my husband loved his carnitas . You can't go wrong- delicious chips and salsa right when you sit down and they always fill it right up when you are done. If they are really busy and have a waiting list keep your eye on the bar tables which are first come first serve. We got one right away and didn't have to wait the 45 minutes they told us when we signed in. Enjoy!!

“Great Mexican Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2014 via mobile

We had lunch here today. Chips and Salsa brought when we were seated. Had the beef nachos followed my the combination Fajitas. Tasted great and more than enough for 2 for lunch. Taking home the left overs! Vanessa R was our waitress and was super.

“Ole!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2014

We all have an idea of what Mexican food should be, colored by our own personal travels and experiences. The cuisine itself is influenced by many regional dishes from both Mexico, South America and yes, Tex Mex. The Casa de Bandini menu is varied and offers something for everyone. Simply follow the overwhelming advise of locals and visitors alike and treat yourself to a lovely dining experience! The venue is beautifully decorated, with patios and fountains, artfully painted walls and ceilings, and dramatic lighting fixtures! There's an open tortilleria with it's own dining counter (fun place for children to watch and learn), more formal indoor seating, colorful outdoor patios and a lively lounge area with a magnificent collection of colorful glass pendent lanterns. This place is wildly popular, so there is always a lively buzz that makes for a fun atmosphere. Food and drink portions are generous, full of flavor and reasonably priced. Service is always attentive and if you are lucky, there will be strolling mariachis. They do not hover and only add another layer of ambience. Don't go with a preset idea of what your enchilada should look or taste like, go and enjoy your total experience!
