It's almost pointless to leave the resort when there is so much to do. We only stayed one night but tried to take advantage of all the fun amenities, including table tennis, fooseball, volleyball, and the pools. The beach is walking distance but unfortunately it was almost all rocks rather than sand. We booked our stay through resortime.com. I'd definitely consider going back soon w/ friends. The rooms were nice and the bathrooms were big. They don't give lotion, bubble bath, etc..just soap so make sure to bring your own. They have full kitchens so bring some food to cook to save money.
Only negative thing was that our AC was not working properly but we finally got it to work after playing with for awhile.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor and could hear quite a lot of noise from the guests staying above us. You might be better off requesting a room on the highest floor.

The negatives: I booked months in advance and paid extra for an ocean view. What I got was my balcony facing an adjacent building. Our balconies "faced" each other and were only about 20 feet apart. There was no privacy and we had to keep our drapes drawn the entire time. The rooms are "cute" but there's an ant problem. The dining tables are glass and no way to clean them. It's like a large apartment complex. There are only two elevators and we had to walk around several buildings to get to them. There's no easy way to get from one building to the next...just up and down many flights of stairs. We had 4 kids with us and lots of food, so it was a nightmare.
Positives: The pools are lovely and so are the grounds, facilities are nice, the staff is very friendly. It's near the ocean.

Room Tip: Be VERY clear about an ocean view. The "corner" units seem nicer. Book near the elevator

I booked 1 night in a Carlsbad Seapoint timeshare condo through Groupon. This was a beach weekend for us (living 2 hrs away)and my parents that are visiting from Germany. We arrived to early for check-in on Saturday May 19th but were able to use the very nice Adults-Only pool and all resort facilities while waiting for our check-in. The Adults-pool area has a large pool and hot tub both with perfect temperature and crystal clear. Nice ocean views from the pool area. The resort has a very nice curb apeal on arrival and it get's even better once we started using the facilities. There was lemon water, coffee and tea available in the pretty lobby and we were given fluffy pool towels. They had lots of other things for free that could be rented like pool floats, beach umbrellas, games, videos, ping pond paddles +. We were able to bring our little ice chest to the pool and enjoyed a very nice day there. Make sure you bring things to snack on and drink with you because there is no snack shack, restaurant or store anywhere at or near the resort. At 2:30 PM our condo was ready and we were given a great location. The lady at the front desk was very nice and does a great job. Top (3rd) floor, corner 2 bedroom 2 bath condo with amazing pacific ocean and coast view. Wrap around balcony with table, chairs and sunlounger. Very, Very nice. The unit was in perfect condition and very well furnished. Flatscreen TV's in the living room and each bedroom, Ipod music docking station, well equiped kitchen, pretty gas fireplace. There was nothing missing anyone could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The master bedroom had a king bed again with amazing ocean views out the window and the second bedroom had one double bed and one single bed. The quality of bed linens, matress and pillows was truly Hilton standard (the resort is a Hilton afiliate). Lots of nice towels in the bathrooms and basic bath products are provided. The Master Bath has a jacuzzi tub and the second bath has a shower and seperate sink area. On arrival to our condo there was a little vase with fresh flower on the kitchen counter next to the basket with coffee, tea and popcorn which we all thought was a nice touch. The maid service also knocked on our door after a few hours to ask if we had everything we needed or if they could get us anything else. Good Service! The resort also has a nice family pool, splash playground, a pirate ship playground and putting green area with cute (but not tacky) dolphin statues. There is also a separate family spa. We did not use any of this since we don't have kids but the families had a great time there from what we could see. Behind the buildings are tropical landscaped gardens with BBQ's, picnic tables, benches for everyone to use. There are tennis courts, ping pong and other game stuff for everyone to use. There are ice machines in every building and laundry facilities. I am sure I am forgetting some stuff but they seem to have everything here. Behind the resort are the train tracks but we did not hear trains at night and in front is Hwy 101, beach and ocean. It was a short easy drive (about 10 minutes) into Carlsbad Village wich is a cute area with lots of restaurants and shops etc. We had a fun dinner at Del Norte Mexican restaurant in the Village. It's a casual lively place. If you are looking for more upscale and really good Italian Food go to Figilucci. We would love to stay at Carlsbad Seapoint again.

Room Tip: Ground floor condos have limited views and some have no privacy because the walkway goes by the terrace and windows. Higher floor condos have best views.

Seapointe has the friendliest staff, especially Shayla at the front desk. Despite working all night, she is smiling and cheerful and offers fresh coffee to those of us checking out before sunrise.
The rooms are consistently clean. The landscaping is beautiful. It's a perfect place for an Arizona runner to escape the heat and enjoy the cool coast.

We just got back tonight from staying here 2 nights over the weekend, and I can't say enough what a lovely and comfortable experience it was. This place is ideal for families : kitchen is stocked with anything you would need and supplies are new and sturdy. Condo is SPACIOUS, clean and updated.

Couple of tips: if you don't care about view get the first floor: easy for kids, right by pool and play areas. Also get room where the bedroom window is away from the train tracks so that you can sleep with window open if you have kids in the room that may get scared from the train noise.

Parking is also very convenient in the garage. Overall was a fantastic stay.

Note: directly across the street is the ocean but usable sand beach is drive/ walk away. Across from hotel is just pebbled beach and cliffs.
