We were told that this was a magnificent resort that we could only get into every 4 years by the RCI representative.
Check-in was alright, the clerk seemed really pleased that our room was ready even though it was gone 4 PM.
The resort is sandwiched between the railroad tracks and a road with a highway just beyond that and finally the Pacific ocean.
Our unit was a 1 bedroom, and the living area and kitchen were a good size with nice cathedral ceilings. But other than that it was the smallest 1 bedroom we have ever stayed in. No closet space, except a small one in the hall which held the recycling bin and laundry basket (on its side as that was the only way it could fit). The bedroom had a tidy dresser. The TV was mounted on the side wall so you had to lie on your side to watch. We ended up putting one suitcase on the dresser and using the dining room table area for my husband’s suitcase and storage area.
This unit was supposed to sleep four but I’m not sure where we could have put everything!
The laundry was not complimentary and cost $1.25 for a load of washing and another $1.25 to dry.
We were told that we would receive towel changes twice and a mini clean on Wednesday. When we came back on Wednesday we had towels changed and the garbage was taken, nothing else was done. When I asked at check-out exactly what the mini clean was meant to comprise of, I was told a general tidy and dishes done. Nope, didn’t happen.
What a difference to our previous resort we had stayed in where we had towels and linens done twice weekly which included bed linen changed. Midweekly cleaning was a full cleaning including floors washed and also beds changed once again.
On Sunday morning at check out which is 10 AM a little early they were using the only elevator to move furniture in while many owners were trying to pack up their cars at the same time.
Not impressive as you also have to pay a daily resort usage fee of $12 a day.
