Owner description: This nearly five-mile stretch of beach is popular with families but also draws surfers and skin divers to the water and runners and cyclists to the boulevard bordering the beach.

Had an evening walk on this beach with family and friends felt really safe and not crowded. My teens really enjoyed seeing all the wild bunnies on the hillside.

This is a great beach for families and anyone looking for a good day at the beach. We are from N Ca but visit family in Carlsbad every year. Moonlight Beach In Encinitas is our favorite but this is a perfect second favorite. Lifeguards, restrooms, outdoor shower and a long walking path connecting the beaches. Volleyball courts etc and nearby food options at the village and a fish and chips spot above it.

In June the morning haze burns off by noon or a bit earlier. Bring the sunscreen and watch the tides for Best boogie boarding. New information to me was that you get the best Long waves with low tide. High tide can be rough and make for a short rougher boogie board experience.

Great spot, quite and not to crowded when we went. Big rocks but nice sand and easy to get through. Kids 5/10 and 1 year had a great time.

Very Clean, minimal people, lots of beach area to play, lounge, etc. Water wasn’t as cold as expected. Kids had a blast playing in the waves. Was pleasantly surprised at how gorgeous it was.
