My 3 boys thought that this was the best hotel they ever stayed in - for a kid who loves Lego, what's not to love? An entire hotel themed around Lego, with building bricks all over the place. My kids liked it so much, that they were asking us to leave the Legoland park itself to go back to play in the hotel.
As for the adult experience? Well, let's just say its not about the adults. The restaurant is super-crowded and the food is just ok. There is often a line extending far into the hall just to get in at breakfast and dinner. Its really more of a buffet feeding frenzy than any sort of dining experience. The 2 bars in the hotel serve wine in plastic glasses, so don't expect to have a chill, relaxed time with friends in the bar. Its more about downing your alcohol as quickly as possible so that you can get back to supervising your kids who will definitely be running wild amongst all of the Lego-themed things in the hotel's public spaces.
For the $1200 I dropped on 2 nights at this hotel (with theme park tickets), I could have had a more enjoyable weekend at the Ritz or Four Seasons, but like I said, its not about the adults here, its about the kids and they love it.More
