“Standard food at beautiful location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2014

The biggest attraction here is definitely the sunset over the Pacific. Otherwise, the food fare is average - but, not bad - simply compare this to fast food, and not a restaurant, and your expectations will be fulfilled.

“Great View, but food leaves you feeling like a grease ball”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2014

Ok, it is a covered outdoor restaurant, where you expect great prices, but it is not true, as I guess they are charging for the view and location, which is perfect... Beer is great, but the fried food is greasy and way too much batter on it... The seafood salad was skimpy portions.....

Go for the beer and view, and maybe skip the food..

“Nice beer, fish & chips”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2014 via mobile

Had a pleasant lunch with good service. Fish and chips had big pieces of fish. Really only needed one. Local beer was excellent. Convenient location if walking the beachfront walkway in Carlsbad.

“Great Casual Eatery!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2014

Excellent HUGE fresh pieces of fish, in a comfortable, very casual diner/restaurant. Outdoor/covered seating with very wonderful warm heaters above you to keep you warm on the chillier evenings. Makes you feel part of the local community. Thank you!!!!!! We'll be back!

“Go for the beer and the view”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 February 2014

Four of us had high expectations of this restaurant as it came recommended by a local. Our expectations plunged, however, when the waitress delivered our food. There was lots of it; quantity isn't the problem. The problem was overly battered fish that was greasy, not tasty. If you go, you might have more success with broiled choices. Good beer, good service, and good, casual ambiance saved this visit from being a total wash.
