I booked two nights in one of the more expensive rooms at this resort and then made the mistake of reading other reviews on this site. Hence, I was expecting the worst, even though I had once visited this resort a few years ago.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience: my room was lovely and clean, the resort was beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff was all very pleasant (except maybe for some of the staff in the Marketplace--could stand to be a little nicer).
Although there was a mistake with my room, the front desk staff ended up fixing the problem fairly quickly and moving me to the room that had been described in my confirmation e-mail, with a minimum of fuss.
There are always lots of activities going on, and even though I didn't participate in much I still enjoyed all the energy at this resort.
The pools ARE very crowded, I will warn other readers. Even the "adults only" pool, which unfortunately seemed to have quite a few under-21 people sneaking in, was overly crowded. However, I visited over a weekend, so this was not a complete surprise.
Overall a great resort and one that I would love to visit again and again!

Nice hotel, clean and friendly staff. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the hotel had a great gesture they delivered a bottle of wine and chocolates to our room. Valet parking was great. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We recommended to others.

What a beautiful vacation. The room was great and people were friendly. So many different areas/pools to enjoy this property. We also took a day trip to LaJolla to broaden our experience. Would recommend this highly.

Customer Service was immaculate, food was terrific from everywhere on site. We had a chance to stay for an entire week, this allowed us to experience all aspects do the resort. I would recommend this to everyone, the people there are professional and dedicated.

We stayed here for a much needed family vacation in the sun. The resort has many different pool areas and we used the family and kid section during our stay. If you have little ones this is a great spot since they have a pool that is no more than 3 ft deep and a water park that they can run around in. They also offer a kids club and child care services but my daughter was too young to participate in either. There were plenty of choices in regards to places to eat even though they were a bit on the pricey side but that's to be expected at a resort. We stayed in a villa room and had a full kitchen so we were able to go to the grocery store(Jimbo's is awesome) and not have to eat out for every meal. The fitness center is top notch and hardly ever crowded.

The hotel is about 30 minutes from the San Diego Zoo and about 45 minutes from Coronado. Easy parking situation or you can valet. I would also recommend checking out the local beaches like Solano and Cardiff by the Sea. We'll definitely be going back next summer to escape the SF fog!

It's a fun resort. Just too bad it is pricey for the service you get. Asked for pool towels, never got any. $60 for 2 wines and 1 hamburger/fries. Overcharged on my bill. I am still waiting for a callback. $26 Resort fee $18 self parking Luggage and golf club drop off is a zoo. Too many kids running around. (on the practice putting green, too) Adult pool and hot tubs had awesome view. Fire pits were great. Nice atmosphere.

Older classic resort, but very nice. Good food and friendly service. Conference center not conveniently located to guest rooms. Restaurant pleasant with adequate service - outside seating nice. Nice pool area, but loud children. Housekeeping staff efficient, but seemed to always be in the way, blocking hallways and elevator access (one would not move cart to allow me to exit the elevator - quite rude).
