My family and I had a family reunion at Happy Landing last weekend. It was a great environment for such an event, with the beautifully re-done courtyard and close proximity to the beach and Carmel Village. The rooms were lovely and the breakfast each morning was tasty. I would highly recommend the Happy Landing for anyone who is looking for an enjoyable B&B experience!

Only a few blocks from the beautiful, large town beach, the Inn was a great place for the weekend. We chose it specifically because it was dog friendly (complete with a doggy treat on the morning breakfast tray), but I would choose it again even without a dog. The decor is fresh, clean, and updated (no frufru decorations here), and the bed was sumptuous. The outdoor fireplace is in a lovely courtyard. The historic nature of the property meant that the bathroom was small and parking limited. Neither thing was a big deal; we found a spot right on the street. Carmel is so walkable that we just walked everywhere anyway-beach, dinner, shopping. Stay at Happy Landing. You will want to go back. We sure do.

We stayed in this lovely and beautiful Bed and Breakfast to celebrate our anniversary and decompress from our crazy week. The room was so adorably decorated that we want to emulate this style in our own house. The courtyard is charming and quaint and the breakfast in the morning was delicious! The owner was very helpful and gave us a wonderful suggestion for dinner. The location couldn't be more perfect. One block away from wonderful restaurants and down the street from the beach. t would highly recommend this B&B to anyone wanting a romantic night in with their loved one.

My husband and I spent our 1 year wedding anniversary here at this quaint B&B and loved it. We loved the fact that they are dog friendly and could bring along our 9 month old Great Dane. We stayed in the Clint Eastwood room/ cabin. It was the most perfect one bedroom, one bath with a small living area (w/ fire place). The quiche breakfast that was delivered to our door each morning came with coffee or tea, oj and croissants, and our puppy got a couple of dog biscuits. The location is prime, walk-able to the beach (which our puppy loved) and lots of dog friendly quality restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you have a large dog go with a bigger room like the Clint Eastwood. The room isn't huge but...

This was our first time in Carmel and at the Happy Landing Inn, I chose it because of the cute cottage like rooms and the tripadvisor reviews. We arrived after 6pm, but Dawn had our key and a little welcome letter taped to the office door. There are three parking spaces for guest use, first come first serve. But there seemed to be plenty of street parking and even though signs say street parking for residents only, Dawn assured us we could park there with no problem. We parked and got our key and found our room in no time, there is a lantern right by the door that is from 1926. Each room has a plaque on the wall next to it with the name and number of the room. We entered into the sitting area of the Presley room and were pleasantely surprised, there is a TV mounted on the wall, two wing chairs, a nice dresser, mini fridge, and vanity table. The room of course has a lot of Elvis artifacts, signed pictures, a book about Elvis and Dawn even had four Elvis DVD's to watch. The Bathroom was spacious and the Queen bed was sooo comfy. Robes were provided in the closet and a luggage stand as well, which is always helpful. My husband had called ahead to let Dawn know it was our Anniversary and there was an iced bottle of Champagne, two glasses and a beautiful card from Dawn and Shari waiting for us in the room. Breakfast is delivered to your room between 8:30-10 AM in the morning, (most rooms just open the blinds when ready, but since she is above our room we called her to let her know.) The breakfast was yummy, a bowl of fruit, glass of orange juice, croissants, and a quiche or egg bake, with gourmet jam, perfect start to the day. Dawn also suggested and made our reservations for dinner Saturday night at Da Giovanni (see review there). Everything was soo amazing and Dawn is an amazing and gracious Innkeeper, she has definitely found her calling. Thank you Dawn for a great stay, we will be back!

Room Tip: All the rooms seem great, we stayed in the Presley Room, which is on the street level underneath the...

This was our first stay at Happy Landing and we loved everything about it. We have stayed at other pet friendly hotels in Carmel and this one clearly stands out as the winner. We loved being on a quiet side street yet still close to Ocean Ave and a short walk to the beach. Breakfasts in our room were a welcome treat. Dawn made us and our dog feel most welcome.

Room Tip: The Presley Room is in a separate building and a good choice for those with doggies that might be no...

Happy Landing Inn was AWESOME ! Dawn was fantastic and the accommodations were perfect. The rooms are uniquely decorated and clean. We were within walking distance of everything and ended each day with a glass of wine by the outdoor fireplace.

Room Tip: Each room is unique and fantastic. You can't go wrong with any of them.
