We had a 2 night stay here on our way to San Francisco and I would highly recommend it. Its in a great location right in the centre of Carmel and walking distance to the beach. The room we stayed in was a family suite and was clean and attractive. The staff were friendly and was a great experience.

Well located on the main drag. Decorated with antiques and dark woods. Rooms are small, but who stays in them. No elevator to the second floor so you climb the carpeted stairs. Close to the Hog's Breath Inn and Casanovas French Restaurant. Good for the money.

Room Tip: Doesn't really matter.

Very good location in the centre of Carmel, but don't get room 21! It is listed as a double, but there is just room for a double bed and very little else. We even struggled to find a home for the suitcases.

We made a last minute decision to stay in Carmel. Rooms were scarce as it is high season. [We have stayed at Tickle Pink other occasions.]Our room was on the 3rd floor (I requested 2nd) and had a nice view of the ocean. Housekeepers do a nice job but you can only do so much with tattered bedding. Breakfast was included, offerings decent, but crowded and violently picked over. Staff did their best to keep up. Parking 1st come basis, if you get in, your set, and can easily walk town. Those with ambulatory challenges may find the tiny stairs that lead to the higher floors daunting, as well as the what I deemed the "funhouse floor" in the hallway. Heating unit didn't work but made a startling hissing sound around 3am. Generally quiet with early morning maintenance noise. Pretty lobby but didn't feel like the room was comfortable enough for lounging the afternoon away.

We have been staying at the Pine Inn for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. John Lloyd and his staff are always very friendly and helpful. The staff have always made us feel very welcome and appreciated. The hotel and rooms are always clean and fresh. I have actually driven 50 miles out of the way to stay at the Pine Inn because I know what to expect verse choosing a different location that I have not been to. I travel all over North America for business and this is one hotel I will always continue to support.

A lovely hotel, so comfortable and quaint, in the centre of Carmel. Sumptuous furnishings and comfortable room, fantastic breakfast, amazing selection, hot and cold. Carmel is a beautiful and here you are in the centre, close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and there is a car park.

Room Tip: Our room was at the back, and was quiet.

We stayed here July 22nd in room 311. From check-in to check-out we had a wonderful experience. When we arrived our room was not ready but the front desk got with housekeeping to make sure someone would get it ready right away. We had to wait about 45 minutes but was worth the wait. Room beautiful, roomy and had a view of the ocean. We were greeted by staff every time we left and returned. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was perfect. Great service, never rushed, generous servings and fresh made pasta. The next morning we went back to the restaurant for our free full hot buffet breakfast. Eggs, bacon, sauage, french toast plus bread, muffins and pastries. And FRESH squeezed orange juice. Even gave us a to go cup so we could take coffee or juice with us on our trip home. One of the best parts of the hotel is it is in the middle of downtown. We parked our car and never moved it until we left the next morning. Would stay here again. Thank you Pine Inn for a great stay.

Room Tip: Room 311 is a roomy king bed with an ocean view. Windows open to side street but very quiet at nigh...
