Carmel is a wonderful unique town. This is a beautiful place to stay. The beach is golden sands and really pretty.
The hotel is really good value for money. Our room was located very close to reception .
The room was beautiful with comfortable bed and a mini kitchen.
In the morning breakfast is delivered to your door in a basket. Really something different. Only stayed for one night but would have loved to have stayed longer.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was very comfortable and cleaned yesterday. Our room had a great view of the bay.
The children really liked the "breakfast in the basket".
It is located only 10 mins from the shops , restaurants and galleries and 15 mins walk from the beach.
On our second morning we say Dolphins swimming off the beach .
This hotel is well located and an easy walk to surrounding restaurants, shops and the ocean. The staff are pleasant and helpful. However, it is quite tired and poorly maintained. The rooms were quite dirty and the linen not at all fresh and stale smelling. It could do with a facelift which would warrant the cost of the rooms. The breakfast basket is pretty basic too.
We stayed in the cottage at horizon inn and ocean view lodge with our two teenage children. It was excellent. Location was perfect, near shops and restaurants and a 20 min walk to beach. The cottage was lovely, bed very comfy and sofa bed adequate. The breakfast basket each morning was a lovely touch. The wifi was fantastic which was a big bonus for our teenagers!
Staff were very helpful, especially when we had to leave one day early. They were very accommodating with our request and did not charge us a fee for altering our booking.
Would definitely recommend staying here.
We stayed here with our two teenage daughters for one night as we were making our way down the coastal highway. What a charming hotel and little gem we found! Our room was roomy and comfortable, although my husband thought the bed was uncomfortable, it was fine to me. There is a wonderful patio area where the kids used the hot tub while we hung out by the fireplace. Very charming! For breakfast they deliver a picnic basket to your door full of all kinds of goodies. The day we were there it had pastries, oranges, grapes, watermelon, hard boiled eggs, and orange juice. Very nice touch!
We chose Horizon to stay for our honeymoon. We were pleasantly surprised with the location as its a nice walk to town with great parking.
So it's quiet and cozy. The fireplace is nice and the bed super comfortable. Breakfast is delivered in a picnic basket and was lovely.
The friends who joined us were very happy with their room too. Great value for the money.
