We have returned from time to time over the years. The river runs into the ocean, you can sit on the patio, it is just relaxing. Some years ago Clint even walked in while we were there which really got my wife's attention!

There are probably better places for food but the total package here is great. We went a couple of times with larger parties and all of us left happy.

You can also stay there which we started to plan but just never followed up on. Relaxing, bucolic, nice place in a busy world.

We recently dined there on a picture perfect evening in Carmel. Had drinks on the patio......the view, the view, the view!!!! Clear and unusually warm night, so we opted to have dinner inside. Service was above average and the food was average. Prices are very reasonable for Carmel. No, this is not a destination for foodies! Rather, it is a destination, with decent food! Very relaxing; absolutely loved the vibe!

Been going to Carmel from SFfor many years and ALWAYS A MUST to stop at Clint's place!!! Always bring friends when they come to SF for a visit! Love sitting out and watching the sheep and the sunset or just sitting at the bar for a drink! Truly a favorite spot foe us for many years!

While on our vacation in Carmel to see my husband's life long friend from grammar school (50 years ago)....they took us to Mission Ranch. The restaurant was really neat - we were told that Clint Eastwood owns it and the Ranch. There was a big piano in the bar area. The bar area looked like it would be a safe and good place for Single people to meet. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was so peaceful. There is a patio area also to eat if you desire. A lovely restaurant, cozy, ranchy-feeling, good people. Good wait staff. And you can walk around the area - and take photos if you like. It's away from the maddening crowd and we loved it. We thank our friends, the Ambro's, for taking us there.

Of course if we are honest we were hoping to see Mr Eastwood playing the piano! Sadly he wasn't there...this place got great reviews and the property looks amazing so we headed down on a Friday about 6.00pm. Sat outside on the patio overlooking the sea and the sheep and had a wine. Had dinner in the restaurant and was very impressed. Beautiful wine and the days special was delicious, we loved the experience.
