Not wanting to wait til after lunch, we headed straight for Morgan Winery/Taste of Morgan vineyards about 11 a.m. From the moment we drove onto the property we knew this was a very special place. the grounds are gorgeous. The staff were very engaging and their knowledge of the new techniques regarding blending was above reproach. We learned that as little as 8 or ten rows of vines can be very different from the adjoining rows. Hence the blending process for wines boggles one's mind. Sometimes 1 acre among many is set aside and held longer or harvested sooner due to more or less sun or a certain weather pattern that acre is exposed to. ANd suffice it to say that the wines we tasted at Morgan were superb and the sales and and shipping costs we found to be very pleasing. we shipped "a bunch" of wine home. :):) I highly recommend you not miss MOrgan among the 60 or 70 wineries on offer around Montery and Carmel.
