We came to see Gravity in this Imax and were not the slightest disappointed. The screen is enormous and made us feel as though we were not just watching the movie, but a part of it. The sound is good and the seats are comfortable.

I love a deal and since I am a senior, I really appreciate saving a dollar or two. With the price of movies (especially 3D Imax) to get the whole package it's going to cost a lot more than the 35 cents it used to.. this wonderful theatre that shows first run movies is a spectacular find! It makes those once in a while silver HUGE screen (in 3D) affordable! Go for the matinee when there is a discount for all.

We prepaid for tickets and then discovered that they were having issues with the 3-D. No refunds. The small popcorn cost $6.50!!!

From Avatar, the first 3D movie, this is our valley's Go-To IMAX experience. Plenty of covered parking in the city hall multi-level parking structure (VERY important in the valley of eternal sunshine & blazing hot high triple-digit Summer Heat Waves~ up to 121 degrees, so covered parking is a plus!)

In comparison, we went to Indio to see "Life of Pi" in 3D and that theater was very disappointing, dirty, smelled old, musty, and was an uncomfortable experience so we will not be going back. We LOVED "Life of Pi" in 3-D but the Indio Regal Indio Metro 8 is in my humble opinion, dirty, and worried about the safety of my luxury automobile in the parking lot. I would NOT recommend Regal Indio Metro 8. Desert IMAX is THE place to see your favorite movies! Real close to some decent restaurants, clean, and you feel safe.

Most Imax theaters in big towns are expensive and (at least to me) are rarely worth the big bucks one has to shell out to see a movie in those venues. However, this Imax theater is far less expensive than those others. When we went (Aug 2013) it was only $11 to see an Imax 3D movie.

The theater was nice...it wasn't too crowded when we went. There is plenty of free parking. The projection of the film was perfect. Add, just as important, the popcorn was good!
