“Just what you want when you're at the beach”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

I was on the Central Coast for college, but didn't make it up to Cayucos much. Made it out to Duckie's with a few friends who are lucky enough to still live in the area. After taking our young kids to the beach, we walked the 20 yards to Duckies. We just barely beat the lunch rush and grabbed a table that would fit 2 high chairs. Wife and I split a white chowder bread bowl and the fish tacos, both of which were delicious. Fish tacos are broiled, not breaded and fried, so very fresh tasting. Chowder and the sourdough it came in were delicious. Everyone had a drink too, and the total for the 4 of us was about $50; pretty reasonable considering the location and quality of the food. Seating for those who came a few minutes after us seemed a little tight. Will definitely go back!

“Dinner & a Show”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

8/2/14 We sat outside and enjoyed fish & chips, shrimp & chips , clam chowder in a bread bowl and a few cold ones. The food is better than average , but the people watching is even better. Always crowded but that's part of the 6pm Saturday night fun.

We had a bowl of clam chowder. It was ok for a very local place. The wait staff was fine. The restaurant a bit dirty.

“Delicious food, great prices, and a wonderful family atmosphere”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

Duckies is where my family and I landed after being ignored at nearby restaurant. We "schooned" over to Duckies and are so happy we did. We fed our family of four for under $40. You order at the counter and they bring your food over when finished. The food arrived quickly. The clam chowder is delicious. I also had a shrimp caesar salad and the shrimp were broiled to perfection. You even had three options for how you would like your shrimp prepared. My husband's steamed clams were also yummy. I liked that they had icey cold self serve water. The restaurant is clean and service is cheerful. We will be back every time we visit Cayucos. Thanks for a delicious lunch.

“Beach Town Bistro”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

It's a very busy place, right on the beach, that specializes in the fish/clams/etc. and chips type of food. And it's terrific! My fish was super fresh and crispy without being oily. My husband loved is fried clams. And the French fries are super! Yes, it's crowded and you may have to jockey for a table (you order, find a table and they bring the food to you).but it's just he right kind of atmosphere for a beach town.
