It's a Budget Inn. I wouldn't stay there on a family vacation. But our room was clean enough, the bed was comfortable enough, and it was much cheaper than the other "budget" options in town. LIke I said, good enough for what it is.

It may not be the swankiest place you'll ever stay but it was clean, the staff was great, and the price was without comparison. Some of the other guests seemed slightly unsavory but we kept out distance. We were looking for a place within walking distance of the brewery and this met all out needs. When we travel, we don't live in our hotel room, it's just a place to bathe and crash and if that's all you need this will work just fine.

I almost passed up this place due to the reviews, but I thought it was good for the price. Granted, it is a 50's style motor lodge, but my experience was not so bad.

If you want amenities, this may not be your hotel. But if you want internet, a comfy bed and a nice price, this is your hotel.

It is within walking distance of a convenience store, we walked to a bar for dinner, the neighborhood is not that scary. When we asked the desk clerk what there was to do in the area, she said "nothing" but we did some looking around and found options.

Con: The room is not what I would consider clean, there were brown spots on the ceiling and walls, the mirrors appeared to be wiped with a cleaner that streaked badly. The carpet was worn, coming up in spots and seams. There was a chunk of metal sticking out from under the bed frame that should be bent down or removed so no one else would get hurt. There is a pedestal sink in the bathroom, the only thing you can use as a flat surface is the back of the toilet/toilet seat down. A bar of soap and maybe a contact lens case fits on the sink.

The furniture is in fair condition and dated, but there is a TV, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, a small table and chairs in the room. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, we slept in later than we typically do, the bed was so nice. We did not have noise issues.

Overall: I would definately stay here again. If you have reasonable expectations at this price point, the Budget Inn does not disappoint.

after we checked in, our 1 year old son was walking around as i surveyed the room. i found the screen to (what i assumed to be) a crack pipe in the corner or the motel. i was terrified. i scooped him up and didn't let his feet touch the filthy floor again. when my husband went to get a refund they told him they would still charge him $15 because of some internet booking fee ( i work for a hotel and do the internet booking management, it doesnt work that way) but whatever, i just wanted us and our kids OUT OF THERE. could you imagine...a baby picking that up. im still shaken by it. absolutely disgusting. the room was incredibly small and un kept aside from the crack pipe accessories.

Room Tip: if you smoke crack, any room is fine.

We liked this place. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay, the Budget Inn is a good choice. We felt safe, the rooms were clean enough, it was quiet at night, and the guy at the front desk gave us directions to a great Indian restaurant.

  • Liked — cheap price and relative cleanliness and safe feeling
  • Disliked — it's not right downtown, had to drive to food

The review title says it all "Nothing Else Available" and I won't stay there again. The room was clean enough and they did make our beds the next day but hot water was not hot. The TV remote had problems and the room was just not nice Also they tried to charge more for internet booking and extra $10. We said at check in we may stay another night and were told the rate would be the regular rate. We {--} and the 2 night were reduced So I guess that is a good thing that they did lower the rate to the regular rate. All and all it was a place to sleep but considering the other inns we stayed on our trip North This was a DUMP and no budget either.
