...and since it was New Years Day I had to have corned beef hash and eggs..... a 62 year tradition dating back to a snow storm and famished young kids who couldn't get enough of Aunt Ruth's thrown together dinner. And by the way, Guasti's food was just as I "have remembered," even though it was my first time.... Great service, super food... all in a historic Southern California institution.

Place has a nice homey feeling. Parking and entrance are in the back of restaurant. Waitress was very nice. If you are on a budget this is not the place to go to. This was my first time there. They do serve you a lot of food for the price. Two people could share a breakfast plate and leave satisfied. If you like pancakes this is probably the place to go to. I noticed they serve a very large pancake that they call the Cake. This is a single pancake that is larger than a dinner plate. I had an egg breakfast plate with sausage links. Sausage links were large and delicious. Waitress recommended their home fries said that's what they are known for. The homefries were dry and not very tasty. I would recommend a different potatoe side or something else. All in all everyone in my party were satisfied.

Love this place and come here frequently with friends for breakfast. Usually order their special omlettes made with 5 eggs and under $9. Hubby orders 1 pancake that overlaps the platter. Waitress very friendly and service is great. Coffee cup is always full. Have a good lunch menu also. Only downside is not enough parking especially on weekends. Also they are not open in the evenings.

I love this place! The food is excellent! Biscuits and gravy are phenomenal! Pancakes are huge and really yummy! The staff is really friendly. Well worth the drive and the wait, tends to be very busy on the weekends.

You just can't beat Guasti Cafe for the value. The food is awesome and the portions are HUGE! The pancakes are bigger than the plate!
