“Beautiful”
Reviewed 5 August 2013

We just came back from a great and relaxing trip to the Lodge at Whitehawk. We stayed in cabin 11 and we thought it was great!! Cozy, clean and beautiful...There are a total of 14 cabins one and two bedrooms...The lodge has the restaurant and where you check in and out. Your stay comes with breakfast every morning and it was great!!! The dinners are very good also.

The town of Grey Eagle is just about 10 min drive and the lakes basin...is there as well. Great hikes everywhere. I forgot to mention dogs are allowed in the cabins and great places to walk them. You can't leave your dog(s) in cabin if you leave all day and you can't leave in car so make sure they can hike or go with you.

The owners Jerry & Mary Ann are so nice and will help you find places to go and do. The entire staff was very friendly...Lee, Erin, Michelle just to name a few...
If you are looking to get away and getting some peace and relaxation visit Lodge at Whitehawk and if you are a golfer then bring your clubs...

Room Tip: One bedroom cabin 11 and two bedroom cabin 3...we thought...two bedrooms only have a queen and two t...

For starters, the Lodge at Whitehawk provided a level of service that my wife and I have rarely seen (thus the 6 stars) in our many years of traveling. Every person at the lodge, from the owner to the bartenders, absolutely went out of their way to make our stay a delightful and memorable experience. Without question they were successful. From check-in to check-out every phase of our visit went smoothly.
We stayed in the "On the Pond" cabin and it met our high expectations. It was roomy, clean and decorated in a really cute theme. Even though we were only a short walk to the lodge we felt as though we were in a very secluded location and the view of the pond was very tranquil.
The breakfasts that came with the price of the room were both extremely well done. Jerry, the owner, was there both mornings topping off coffees and checking with every patron to make sure their stay was going well. The first morning he took the time to discuss many of the different hiking options with us and other couples. We got the chance to talk to him again during happy hour later that day and he is absolutely the consummate host. A little later that evening we also had an extremely enjoyable conversation with his son Kevin who was visiting from Chicago with his sons. That was quite an unexpected bonus!
To make the value of this stay even better I took advantage of the free $50 dinner gift certificate (all you have to do is ask for it when you make your reservation) provided for Tripadvisor users. I don't know if it will be available the next time we stay, but it was sincerely appreciated when I went to pay for dinner. As I said in the title...extraordinary value.
It's rare to find such a beautiful, well maintained venue with service that is off the charts, combined with pricing that makes it so available. During our two-day stay we talked to many people who had been to The Lodge multiple times and it's easy to see why. We are already planning our next stay!

Room Tip: Take advantage of the free $50 dinner certificate that is available to Tripadvisor users. Check the...

to take advantage of the romanic get away package...let me tell you it was awesome....the mrs. and i needed a break and on a whim we called the Lodge and spoke to Erin...When we arrived we had champagne, truffles from Buckaroo Chocolates and had massage appointments set up as well as a $50.00 gift certificate for dining at the lodge. We stayed at "on the Pond", the first cabin you come to. Our visit was so relaxing including but not limited to the porch swing, the chairs set up by the pond, the swimming pool, the great hospitality from the lodge staff including directions to other venues for adventures, to the delicious breakfasts served in the dining room. Dinners at the Whitehawk restaurant were a foodies delight from the Ahi Napolean appetizer, the multiple salad options, rack of lamb, porchini mushroom raviolis, to the green peppercorn crusted filet to name a few. In other words, we are already trying to book our next getaway! We look forward to seeing Jerry, Sharon, Jenny, Chef Derek and Amber again soon...

Room Tip: all of the cabins are great. we loved "on the pond" because we could hear thr bullfrogs an...

We are delighted you were the first to respond to our "Romantic Getaway" package. Our Lodge manager, Erin put that together and had so much fun doing it she is busy developing new ones. We appreciated your second visit and always look forward to you and your great sense of humor.

Thank You,

We have visited The Lodge at Whitehawk 4 times and each visit has been wonderful. The owners, Jerry and Maryann, engage with the guests and the staff is so accommodating, especially at breakfast for me, a picky eater. Accommodations, food, and nearby golf course are outstanding and looking forward to next year!!!

This was our second trip to Whitehawk and I can't wait until next years trip. The cabins are large, squeaky clean and decorated in lodge style. The owners are both personally involved in making your stay a pleasant memorable one. Staff is second to none. Views from the cabins are of meadows, mountains and critters both wild and domestic. Golf at the nearby Whitehawk course is some of the best around with more excellent courses in the area than you could play in a week. Play golf, hike, kayak, put your feet up on the porch, read a book or visit local museums. If you can't put your cares away hear it can't be done.

Room Tip: Cabins are all great

We were looking for a relaxing get-away spot to spend a couple of days exploring the lakes and golf courses around the area and were very fortunate to have discovered the Lodge at Whitehawk. The accommodations, food, and friendly service all exceeded our expectations.
The breakfasts, which were included, were delicious, as was the Weds night barbecue dinner on the deck, where our dog could join us and socialize with the dozen or so other friendly dogs playing on the lawn.
Jerry and Mary Anne are superb hosts, and they and their staff made us feel very comfortable and welcome. It was obvious that a lot of their guests are return visitors, and I could definitely see why. I'm planning to watch for their website special rates and make this an annual trip.

My wife and I just returned from a two-night stay in the Mustang cabin at Whitehawk Ranch. We drove up for a golf getaway and some adult-time, and it was wonderful. Everything was perfect. The dinner in the lodge was awesome, and the breakfasts (included) were just the right thing to get us going in the morning. I have recommended this to all of our friends, and we will probably lead a group of us up here sometime soon. Thanks for the hospitality!
