We wanted to spend our anniversary at some special place…. to watch sunset over rows of grape vines… to be away from noise of everyday life…. Here it was -a charming gem in the heart of wine country. Cozy, friendly, comfortable, very clean... with nice ambiance and tasty breakfast. Perfect getaway!

Visited for two nights during a road trip that brought myself (wife and daughter) to Auberge on the Vineyard. The only reason I did not rate this B&B a 5/5 is that we felt unwelcome by the owner when we first arrived. Although I had communicated through e-mail that there would be three of us the owner seemed very out of sorts seeing my daughter and told us she didn't know what we would possibly do with her in the area. For the owner's behalf, I'm sure they are not used to seeing children at a B&B in wine country however; this is not a reason to make guests feel unwelcome.

However, everything after this initial 15 minutes was great. The views from our room and balconies were fantastic! We had trouble finding a B&B on a vineyard and we hit the jackpot here. For those traveling with mature kids (we do realize that most places are catering to couples) there was a lot to do in the area and this location served as a great home base. We hit wine tastings in vineyards inside caves (which made it interesting for our daughter), drove to Bodega Bay, visited the Schultz museum, swam in the Russian river, went to an Old Faithful geyser, saw a petrified forest, and found some relaxing time at the B&B among other adventures (we had more on our list that we just didn't get to). The staff was very friendly and the owner, I believe, warmed to us by the end (very nice lady, again, I am attributing the odd welcome to her not being accustomed to seeing children).

Would definitely stay here again when in the area in the future (with and/or without my daughter) and recommend the same to others!

Room Tip: Plenty of great shared balconies but we did enjoy having our private balcony in the Echezeaux room...

Wonderful bed and breakfast in wine country in a lovely Victorian house with French touches. The wrap around veranda had a great view of the vineyard, lots of comfy chairs, a porch swing, etc.. My husband and I enjoyed a glass of champagne swinging on the porch swing and enjoying the sunset and watching the birds and hummingbirds. The 3 course gourmet breakfasts were to die for. What a way to start your day. We had only reserved a 2 night stay but after the first night, we wanted to stay longer so we added another day. All the staff were pleasant, the rooms clean, and the innkeeper just made us feel right at home. You could not go wrong spending some time there. We live 2500 miles away but wouldn't hesitate to return if we get to the west coast again. I miss being there already and we just left a few days ago.

My husband and I decided before we got married 5 years ago that we would visit the California wine country for our 5-year anniversary. Our extensive research landed us at Auberge, and we could not have asked for a more ideal getaway. Traveling from NC, we were not sure exactly what to expect; what we found was a wonderful, warm lady named Roxanne who was genuinely happy to provide top-notch service and delicious breakfast. We highly recommend upgrading to the romance package; Colleen and Terri were very easy to work with in scheduling our couples' massage, and the champagne and fondue was the perfect dessert after an afternoon of wine tasting and a delicious dinner at Catelli's in downtown Geyersville. Bob Dog Winery is also highly recommended. Auberge, the Montrachet Suite specifically, and the service Roxanne and her crew provide is top-notch; you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: The clawfoot spa tub in the Montrachet Suite provided the perfect view of the Alexander Valley viney...

Beautiful old Victorian with spectacular setting. Very comfortable room, relaxing wrap around porch, pretty gardens. Fantastic staff. A little off the beaten path, but close to restaurants and attractions ( nothing is more than a couple of minutes drive away) . Breakfasts were three course extravaganzas, served at a community table that fosters socializing with other guests - part of the B&B charm.

Room Tip: All rooms have private baths, but one or two are not en suite. Ask before you book. Also, breakfas...

While searching for wedding venues for my daughter's April wedding, I needed a place to stay that was south of Ukiah but north of Santa Rosa. I'm a big fan of bed and breakfast resorts so after reading the great reviews, I booked Auberge on the Vineyard. Since I was by myself, I booked the Lorraine room, but was happily surprised to find Rox had upgraded me to the fabulous Echezeaux room. It was spacious and had a private terrace where I made myself comfortable with a glass of wine and enjoyed the incredible view. The room was spotlessly clean and had AC as well as a ceiling fan. Breakfast, served at 9 am, was amazing - crème brûlée french toast with bacon - minted fruit cup - warm apple pastry with whipped cream. Plus, french press coffee! Yum. The co-owner, Roxanne, was sweet and funny and full of great information about the area. As others have said, this is not the usual commercial hotel, but that's a good thing. Stay here. You'll love it.

Room Tip: Carriage House rooms are upstairs and have private decks or a common deck that have wonderful views.

This old Victorian is located just outside of Cloverdale, with a lovely vineyard setting, and easy access to everywhere! While it does have some of the quirks of older buildings, the rooms are well kept, and every room has air conditioning to keep cool (without being overly loud). The breakfasts are fantastic, and a visit with Roxanne, the owner, is worth the trip itself. We'll be back for the breakfasts and Roxanne, as well as to stay in this beautiful Victorian again.
