Located 7 miles south of Cloverdale (allow 15 minutes to get into town.) - a rustic setting with spotty views of the wine country valley below. Very hospitable greeting with wine and a wonderful homemade cake waiting us. (Cake was still there after we had dinner in town to top off the evening.) Breakfast was equally unique and well received by all. In its history the inn was once a dude ranch which sets the scene, Be sure to get the map from the web to help find it. We totally enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

This is our favorite, must stay stop on our annual visit to California wine country, and each year we stay longer than the year before--so now we're up to 8 days. The Old Crocker Inn is a national treasure. It is so rustic, so relaxing, so peaceful and so comfortable that I never want to leave. It sits on a hill high above the hustle and bustle of the valley in it's own natural untouched paradise. We go to the pool in the afternoon and stare a hawks making lazy circles, and usually see a flock of wild turkeys on the way back to our room. Often run into a family of deer grazing the grounds on our way to breakfast in the morning. The dining room is huge and uncrowded, but my favorite spot for breakfast is on the deck (weather permitting, which it usually is). Breakfasts are always delicious and more than ample. There are many fabulous restaurants near by, but often after a day in the valley we choose to bring a picnic to our little private paradise and open our own bottle of wine. There is always a delightful afternoon treat that we save for desert. Perfect.

My husband and I recently stayed at the inn while on a trip for our anniversary. We stayed in the Hopkins because it was the only room left when we booked and it was a wonderful room. It has a rustic yet elegant charm. Tony was very accommodating to our special needs which was very important to us. There were deer all around our car when we went out in the morning. It was very peaceful and off the beaten path. It was very easy to find with directions from Tony and the signs they have in place. Breakfast was simply fantastic, the banana pancakes melt in your mouth. They even had home made chocolate cake and coffee in the evening. There were movies in the lobby for your use also. Simply a fantastic experience I hope to be back soon!

Room Tip: Any room here is fantastic choose according to budget or need you can't go wrong.

We stayed at the Old Crocker Inn in Cloverdale, CA while touring Sonoma wineries and other attractions around the area. This was our first stay at a B&B and we loved everything about it! The owners were very helpful in planning our tours of the nearby wineries. We were looking for a quiet get-away and the Old Crocker Inn was just the right location. It is located above the city of Cloverdale and had great views of the valley below. The room was cozy and clean and had a door that lead out to the wrap-around porch. One of the best aspects of this stay was the ability to sit in the dining room/common area to visit with other guests and share wine and stories of the day or head back to the room for some quiet, restful times. I will be recommending the Old Crocker Inn to anyone thinking of staying in the Sonoma Valley.

The old ranch setting high up in the hills was a wonderful experience. Tony made arrangements for a vineyard tour for us, which was great. We enjoyed sitting on the wrap-around veranda and relaxing in the pool in the afternoon. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you like being away from hubbub! The rooms are all named for business cronies of the original Crocker, and ours was the Stanford.

Unbeatable!! My wife and I spent three nights in the Canton Cottage at Old Crocker Inn in early October and we can't say enough great things about Marcia and Tony's place. The grounds were beautiful, Marcia's breakfasts were perfect, and Tony's winery recommendations were great. It is a little further north than perhaps some would like, but the extra drive to get to vineyards in, for example, the Russian River Valley, was well worth it for the serenity of Old Crocker Inn. It was the most relaxing few days off that we have had in a long time. Thanks Marcia and Tony and we look forward to seeing you again.

Room Tip: The rooms are eminently affordable so, if available, I would opt for one of the cottages.

This inn is not easy to find it is set back and you must follow the innkeepers directions so as to not get lost. It looks like an old california ranch. The rooms go around the main inn with a deck all around. We had the Crocker room. It was lovely and large. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. The dining area is very large and airy. The breakfast was very good. They also have a nice pool . If your looking to do a little step back in time enjoy this Inn. Heralds burg is a lovely town close by. Tony will give you a Map of wineries and coupons for free tasting. The area is great if wine is your thing this area is for you.
