“Quiet, comfortable, unexpected luxury”

They upgraded us when we arrived. Our room had a spa tub, separate bedroom and a very nice living room with a very comfortable pull out sofa. They have a great selection of DVDs and books. There's a fridge in the room for any of your food or wine you may pick up while wine tasting. I loved seeing the flock of wild turkeys and the families of quail out by the pool. The little fountain near the front holds fish and a frog. Breakfast was a fabulous salmon filled crepe. There was a hammock out back of our room. Other people were staying here when we were here but it was very quiet at night and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

There are few things in life that are absolutely perfect, and our stay at the Old Crocker Inn with it's wonderful inn-keepers was so sublimely perfect my poor words will fall far short of doing it justice. The scenery, from the drive up to the inn to the redwood standing beside our cottage was intoxicating. Tony and Marcia are delightful, kind-hearted and meticulous inn-keepers who captured our hearts. Jan, who takes care of the eclectic, mouth-watering breakfast fare was equally sweet. The Canton Cottage in which we stayed was wonderful with it's comfy bed and soft sheets, fast WiFi, and all the amenities one could want. We enjoyed a couple of DVD's from a collection that is as up-to-date as any video rental store. The pool is quiet, relaxing and within 300' of any room. Wildlife ranging from jack-rabbits and black tail deer to quail and wild turkey brazenly roam about the property at all hours. So... you get the idea - we loved the people and their inn! And so will you.

My daughter and I stayed for four nights in the Old Crocker Inn this summer and were extremely pleased with our selection. Our room, Hopkins, was very cozy, immaculate, and beautifully decorated. We especially loved the antique poster bed, the fireplace, and the balcony that wrapped around the Inn. The pool was a great way to refresh after a day of activities, and the current and extensive DVD selection was a nice way to relax after a busy day. The breakfasts were outstanding and consisted of three fantastic courses, and the home-baked treats in the evening were a real plus. The staff was always accommodating and pleasant. We loved the peaceful setting of the Old Crocker Inn and would definitely return!

My husband and I had the opportunity to get away for a long weekend. We chose the Old Crocker Inn because it was close to many wine regions including Russian River, Alexander Valley and Anderson Valley. We found the room (Crocker) to be very comfortable and well-appointed. The bed was heavenly to sleep in, and it was great to be able to open the windows at night for the cool breeze to blow in. Since it's up in the hills, it was very quiet, with beautiful views. Breakfasts were wonderful. The first morning included freshly-made muffins, Spanish fritatta and ginger-infused watermelon. The second morning began with fresh blueberry scones, artichoke and sun-dried tomato quiche and fresh cut fruit. Each evening they make a fresh cake. Our favorite was the apple cake with slices of apple. Our host, Tony, was very nice and personable. (Marcia was away for the weekend, but Janna did a great job in her absence). We will definitely stay again, if the opportunity arises again!

The highlight of my 50th b-day celebration! I spent a week long vacation with my daughter exploring northern CA. At the end of our journey, we both agreed that our stay at Old Crocker in was our favorite experience. Peaceful, comfortable, and indulgent! We look forward to the day we can return!

My wife and I were planning a trip to Napa Valley when a friend gave us a rave review of the Old Crocker Inn in neighboring Sonoma Valley, on a mountain side near the old lumber town of Cloverdale. We checked it out on the website, which we were delighted to find was very well organized, descriptive and with great pics of the rooms too. We made on-line reservations for 2 nights in May and later followed up with an email to "Innkeeper" about the possibility of an early check-in. Marcia, the distaff side of the innkeeper team, replied within hours that our room, "the Huntington", would be ready for our early arrival.

While the Old Crocker Inn is classified as a "bed & breakfast", which it surely is, it isn't a quaint house on a side street in a little town. The setting is a ranch and the main house feels like a country home, with a big semi-circular dining room and large windows opening to a deck that wraps around the house. There were big stone fireplaces in both the dining room and a sitting room. Individual cottages extend away from the Inn in two directions. There is also a barn and a large pool just down the hill from the Inn.

We were greeted by Tony, who looks the part of innkeeper and rancher, who showed us around and to our room and how various things work. We found we could have coffee or any one of 10 kinds of tea anytime as well as Marcia's freshly baked cake. The Inn also provides bottled water and soft drinks and a refrigerator to cool guests' wine purchases.

The Huntington, as the pictures show, is a beautiful corner room, with a big, old country bed that was super comfortable. We loved the fireplace and wi-fi! The bathroom was nicely restored and everything worked perfectly. Outside our room on the wrap-around porch there were comfy chairs for just relaxing and reading.

Breakfast both days was great! Apparently, Tony and Marcia share the cooking and Marcia's baking is wonderful. Suffice it to say that each breakfast was a substantial meal, each was very different, fresh, and beautifully presented. We guess their repertoire of breakfasts is very large but they are also very careful to note and respect any dietary restrictions when one registers.

Tony and Marcia are charming and very informative. They can guide you to whatever you may want or need including great recommendations on wineries, restaurants and local shopping. Probe a little deeper and you will find that they are worldly having lived and worked in Laos, Afghanistan, Jordan and the Philippines among other places. Tony has been involved in international agricultural development for more than 3 decades and still keeps his hand in.

The Old Crocker Inn is a delightful place - quiet and beautiful - and with Marcia and Tony as the Innkeepers it is on our list to return as often as travel takes us to California. We suspect that many of their guests feel the same way.

This inn must surely be one of the most beautiful places on earth! WHen we arrived and saw th view from our room (Crocker) it took our breath away, we just didnot want to leave even to go for dinner. We spent the next day by the pool and watched as deer just wandered by and peered in at us, it was truly magical! Tony and Marsha are excellent hosts, the breakfasts were always a surprise and were wonderful. We enjoyed our chats with the other guests and spent an hour on the moring we were leaving chatting with Tony and his friend (putting off the time we had to leave!) We can't wait to fo back, hopefully next year. Thank you Tony and Marsha for a wonderful visit.
