This place is not very close to civilization. the roads leading in are poorly marked and not lit. Comming by motorcycle means going to Cloverdale for dinner is out of the question .The manager was not sympathetic at all, although he did cancel our reservation

We visited in June and keep forgetting to add my review of the Old Crocker Inn. I think about this wonderful little treasure in Sonoma regularly and cannot wait to go back!
I find Trip Advisor reviews very helpful, and really, you can trust the ones written about this great little place. I wanted to add my praise of The Old Crocker Inn.

I spent at least a month searching the internet for a deal, as we were doing Sonoma on a budget and visiting during peak summer months. This was our first visit to Sonoma and didn't really know where to start. I was thrilled to find this wonderful, out of the way place to stay. And yes, Marsha, I agree that Sonoma is better than Napa. in more ways than one!! (The internet photos are pretty true to life!) Seriously, this place is a true find. The rooms were cozy, very clean (I'm very picky), comfortable, and peaceful. Although it's not a four star hotel, I wouldn't have traded our two nights here for anything. This Ranch Style B & B has character, and if you love the outdoors, you will enjoy the feel of this place. We saw deer both days we were there, and loved sitting out on the wrap around patio in front of our room, sipping on the wine we purchased that day, while enjoying the view (the one on the website). It was very romantic!

Not much on the B & B thing, so we were pleasantly surprised how much privacy we had. If you love rubbing elbows with people, breakfast can meet that need. But, you didn't have to. We had breakfast on the beautiful patio at our own table where Marsha served us. Delightful.

We didn't meet Tony, but we did meet her son. He was helping his mom serve us, as she had a packed house! Marsha is a humble servant who sure can cook and bake. Wow!!!! Her breakfasts were a work of art and so yummy!!! She worked very hard at making our visit special. And, both afternoons she baked fresh treats for the taking,....and we definitely enjoyed our share!!! Fresh baked mini cookies and shortbread bites, yum. There was even a bottle of wine out, coffee and tea available and bottled water or soda, if you wanted. All free! You could store your cheese or chill your wine in the small community refrigerator. :) You were made to feel right at home.

Great places to eat were about 15 minutes away in Geyserville, killer pizza and way too many wineries to visit!! We found that many wineries gave us free tastings for other nearby wineries. The drives were beautiful and worth the time. Speaking of the drive: this place is a little out of the way, but so worth it. Heard from some of the locals that during the winter, the river may cause you to take a different, longer route. So ask. Tony gives you great directions when you confirm your reservations.

I have no desire to visit someplace new. Hope to visit this "find" again soon. Thank you Marsha for making us feel so comfortable. I forgot to get your recipe for your treats, so I have to return to the Old Crocker Inn cause I'm craving your lemon shortbread blueberry bites!

Oh, a little more about our room. We loved the Judah room. The tub in the bathroom was small and a little antique looking :), but clean. Actually, the bathroom in our room was very small, but cute and everything worked!! It seemed like every room in the main house had two private entrances. The main door to our room, was off of the wrap around patio and had a screen door on it which was nice to let in fresh air. The back entrance was a short cut to the goodies!!! :) The decor was not "foo foo", which my hubby appreciated. Fresh flowers, chocolates and water in every room. The bed was very comfortable, the fan helpful as it was warm at night. There was a heater in the bathroom, and one of those fake gas fireplaces (which we didn't need, since it was summer). (BTW: The pool was clean, but the area around it was a work in process.) Lots of places to sit and enjoy the property.

Trust me, unless you are snooty, you will love this place!!! Thank you Marsha for the lovely time. Hope to see you next year some time!!!

We stayed for a few days of our honeymoon. It was perfect. Beautiful place, amazing room, awesome breakfasts. Staff (Marcia and Tony) are wonderful and helpful. Close to many great wineries in Russian River and Dry Creek area. Not as many restaurant options as in Healdsburg, but worth the extra 5-10 mins drive to enjoy great peace and quiet up in the hills. We'll return the first chance we get. Wish we could have stayed longer.

A bottle of champagne was waiting for us upon arrival. And Marcia went out of her way to pick up a gift certificate for a nearby restaurant that one of our wedding guests bought as a surprise. Free cake each night. That's customer service!

My husband and I stayed at the Crocker Inn for our 30th wedding anniversary and what a wonderful two days we had!! It was a little remote but once we found it it was certainly the place to stay. Being a hygienist, I am always concerned with "cleanliness". This place passed my strict standards...I have been to B&Bs that looked like they were not expecting me to show up...dirty. Not the gracious host and hostess at the Crocker Inn. They had everything perfectly cleaned, dusted and polished. The pool was crystal clear, but I forgot our bathing suits...Breakfast was superb right down to the Crockerita!!! We saw our first Redwood trees at the Armstrong State Reserve close by. Drove through the grape orchards and enjoyed a complimentary bottle of Champagne from our host and hostess...had nothing to do with a broken toe....lol

we decided to stop on our way to Mendocino- and what a great find! We stayed in the "Canton Cabin" and it was wonderful. Lovely sheets, lovely bed, super hosts (and Suki the long-haired Akita!), heated pool, great breakfast...what more can you ask for. OH, and really nice robes! :-)

We stayed in the Clement Cabin. We love the rustic look of the cabin and yet the inside is well equipped with modern amenities (Flat screen TV, Internet, Air conditioning, Ceiling fan, comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom). The night is especially beautiful. It is so peaceful. You could hear the sound of insects, trees and wind around you. Thousands of stars are shinning down. We also got a visit from a deer one night. Marcia and Tony were very helpful while respecting our privacy. It is definitely a nice place to spend our vacation.

You can choose among the various inns in Cloverdale but this is the one to choose. A bit off putting when you arrive if you're expecting a landscaped garden but it is a RANCH and looks like one—FANTASTIC!. Not your typical Victorian B&B—much better. Not the fussy overly grapey decor common to many wine country inns. Tony and Marcia are delightful in keepers; easy to talk with and very much the hospitable hosts. The rooms are exquisitely clean. The quite of the mountain top location is deafening!! The stars are amazing and the milky way is a soothing evening view. Deer abound and the thistles are the largest I've ever seen. Don't miss the chance to stay several days. One day is NOT enough! And the beds are REALLY comfortable!
