The atmosphere on the hotel side of the casino is pleasureable to say the least,do not use a credit card at checkin, opt to provide a 100.00 deposit cash and pick it up in the am, the rooms are relatively nice, the pool and spa area are typically overran with unattended children or drunk gamblers. The gym area leaves ALOT to be desired, you can get some good cardio in but if you want to lift some weights leave that to the gym. Clean beds, bathrooms, chuchanski tower is remodeled so either tower is nice. Tip: Get a players card, play a little bit for free hotel comps mailed to your home for the next stay.

One of the best casinos in CA. I getaway frequently to Chukchansi Gold resort and Casino. They have a spa (Serenity Springs) where you can get a massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, etc. There's a pool and 2 jacuzzis. Wonderful restaurants, but my favorite is the California Buffet. I do prefer the "blue" rooms to the "Brown" rooms in in the Chukchansi Tower. The brown rooms are the older side of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for newest side of hotel, the blue rooms.

The Picayune King Suite was way over priced for the quality of the room. First of all the sofa and chair in the livingroom were stained and were made of a rough linen material; the fireplace was electric w/ a noisy fan; the wood tables were dented/scratched/worn; the bedroom was basic and the bedspread was stained. The only thing nice about the suite was the bathroom.

The Spa was not very impressive either. Fake candles lit the rooms, and it was missing the fragrance of a spa. The only positive thing I have to say about the Spa is the massage was awesome...the ladies really worked the muscles.

My husband and I don't ever plan on staying here again. If we want the casino atmosphere we will save it for Las Vegas, and the spa/resort experience we will head to the coast or Bass Lake..

Room Tip: Call to get specifics on rooms and resort spas.

We were thrilled to find this hotel and casino so close to the Mariposa Grove (45 minutes) and chose to stay here instead of the Tanaya Lodge FOR LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE! Our room was modern and clean with granite vanity tops and a flat screen tv. The casino was fun and we really enjoyed our evening at the $5 blackjack table. The food in the hotel restaurants was great and not overpriced and we loved seeing the baby cliff swallows in the morning under the massive porte cochere in front of the hotel. After only one night at Chukchansi we spent the following 3 nights at the Ahwahnee hotel in Yosemite Valley and we will never make that mistake again. This hotel is $400 per night LESS than that DUMP The Ahwahnee and on our next trip to Yosemite we'll be staying here and driving an hour and a half to Yosemite valley. I'd rather make the drive and at least know that there's a clean room with entertainment and decent food waiting for us when we get there. Even if you're not interested in gambling this hotel was a steal for the area compared to the overpriced dumps in Yosemite and the surrounding area.

Stayed at the Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino one night while I attended a meeting at the hotel. Was pleased with the room I received, was in the new tower. The room was nicely appointed, very clean and comfortable. Had a nice view of the valley and a beautiful sunset. Had a king size bed which was firm and the sheets were very clean. The bathroom lights were extremely bright but they do use CFLs to save energy. The only drawback were the bath towels which were fairly thin. The only plush towel was found under the hair dryer on the shelf outside. Had a very warm shower which was nice. Rooms were fairly quiet.

The buffet was reasonably priced if you had a "Players card" otherwise it was pricey for dinner on a Wed. night at $16.99. With the card it was only $8.99. The cafe had a variety of good choices for lunch and was reasonably priced. Very good service at both places. They also have a bakery near the conference rooms which was also good.

Considering it was a Casino, the cigerate smoke was not too bad. Overall a very nice place to stay.
