Great place for kids and family. Low lighting, floor design and decor is grown-up style, place is very thematic, food is styled for a child's palate or for folks who need bland. Really a good place to train children how to behave in a sit-down restaurant.

I've been to Elephant Bar many times; business lunches, office holiday gathering, and after-work celebrations. The food is always great and what they offer is unusual without being weird. Service has alwasy been excellent and they are very accommodating to larger groups.

Have been at least 5 Elephants through the years and have enjoyed the décor and food. The service has been mostly great at all venues. we have gone with anywhere from 2 to 12 people. 90% of the time have ordered the 2 lamb shank dish and have never been disappointed. this most recent visit my wife had the Korean BBQ Chicken & Ribs and I had the Crab & Shrimp Louie Salad. The chicken/ribs were nothing special. Have had their different rib offerings in the past and they don't impress me; almost as if they boil or steam them first. the salad was very good with real crab, baby shrimp, avocado and mango (or was it papaya?). they put a small amount of dressing on the salad (so they don't drown it) and give you more on the side. Love their strawberry lemonade but have to avoid it because of the sugar content. The Elephant chain is a good choice for people that want a lot of choices and don't want steak and potatoes.

This is a casual restaurant, part of a chain, but with excellent food. It is conveniently located between the I-680 and Highway 242 off-ramps. The diverse menu contains a large variety of starters and entrees. These consist of mostly American, Japanese and Thai cuisine. There are also a large number of salads and side dishes. We chose the lamb shanks (2) in mashed potatoes and the Thai BBQ Shrimp and chicken. Both were very tasty. Desserts are huge. We shared the apple-blueberry cobbler. There is also an extensive cocktail menu. Food prices are very reasonable. The server (Phoebe) was gracious, accommodating, and fast. The restaurant is large with a bar and several dining areas. Ambiance is nice with booths, banquettes, and tables.

Going to any restaurant on Saturday night, right after a dinner rush, probably not a great idea. But when we sat at the bar - squeezed in - it was apparent the wait staff was much more important than serving their patrons at the bar. Apparently they share all tips.

It was several minutes before we were even acknowledged but the bartender (a little inexperienced) eventually gave us a beer and a glass of wine (easy). Then, we noticed a couple departing at the other side of the bar and moved (we had only one chair). From there it was all down hill, the older bartender was extremely frazzled - I've never seen a bartender succumb to the pressure - usually their cool as a cucumber. But, as the people next to us mentioned, they needed management back-up big time.

The food was okay, nothing fantastic. I ordered a veggie burger and my husband a chicken sandwich - they have a build your own "burger" which is really cool. You pick the protein, the bun, and then the toppings. You also select the side choice - great idea!

I think we got out of there (the bartender had the nerve to make us wait after we gave him our credit card to "clean up") for under $50 with tip - 1-2 drinks a piece and 2 burgers.

The ambiance is noisy and the décor is 'animal kingdom' and surprisingly small.
