This is a very casual neighborhood restaurant located in a very small strip mall. And, unfortunately, it is not noticeable unless you are looking for it. As far as the menu, the name says it all. It consists of all the New Orleans classics: po’boys, gumbo, red beans and rice, jambalaya, fried catfish, shrimp – as well as a number of chicken and waffle dishes. Desserts include red velvet cake, pecan pie and sweet potato pie. The food was very good. My wife, born and raised in New Orleans, really liked the Oyster Po’boy. The staff is very friendly. Our server, Beverly, was from New Orleans, and one of the cooks was from Point a La Hache, Louisiana. We are told that the restaurant owners are also from New Orleans. This is a very good café for families and prices are very reasonable.
