Although there is an evident attempt to renovate the hotel, the bathtub in my room was old chipped and scarred, the tile installation and bath sealing is of the lowest quality resulting in a bath that cannot be cleaned properly by housekeeping and evidenced by the buildup of grime in the crevices which is not a housekeeping issue. This low standard was also evidenced in the "executive lounge" where the room smells bad, the evening offerings dull, lifeless, and cold. The morning offerings were better in comparison, however every Hampton inn or Holiday inn express offers a more complete breakfast AND their food is at the correct temperature. The internet connections in the hotel room were acceptable however the rest of the hotel and conference areas were unserviceable which made the conduct of business inconvenient during the meeting breaks. The $15 per day charge for parking is excessive, an insult on top of the room rate! Additionally, there is NO Handicap access to the hotel from the parking lot handicap parking spots! The only direct access to the parking lot from the hotel is via a "emergency exit" off the pool deck and down the stairs to the lot. The "handicap ramp" only accesses a trash area behind the hotel restaurant. On my fourth night I received the checkout receipt that should have been delivered to a guest down and across the hall from my room. On checkout my receipt indicated that one of your employees had charged a bottle of water to my room from a sale at "the pantry". Collectively; all this adds up to a hotel property that is very interested in the bottom line and not in managing their property or staff to insure the guest experience is valuable.

Thank you for taking a moment to provide feedback. Sounds like you did not enjoy your stay and we're sorry we did not meet your expectations. We're proud to share with you that Hilton Concord does exceed all of the brand standards of excellence for Hilton Hotels & Resorts. The food & beverage we offer in our Executive Club Lounge is actually more than what Hilton requires, as we definitely want our Executive Level guests to have a great experience. The Club Lounge lite hors d' oeuvres in the evening are not meant to serve as a dinner and the breakfast in the morning certainly doesn't have everything our guests would enjoy in our restaurant at our full hot Hilton Breakfast Buffet. We charge less for Valet & self parking than other full service major brand hotels in the area and we are pleased to offer full service valet, concierge, & bell. Hopefully you'll give our hotel another try, but if not - please consider the Hampton Inn in Pittsburg CA or the Embassy Suites in Walnut Creek. The rates at the Hampton will be less than a full service Hilton. Embassy has free full breakfast, but they do charge more for parking than we do. Naturally we'd prefer that you come back to Hilton Concord!

I was going to give this review 4 stars as it was "ok" and nothing really jumped out at me. But the staff were very nice and pleasant to deal with. Abid in valet and Meagan at the front desk were great. However, Esther in the restaurant was an absolute delight of a person and went out of her way to make this guest feel very relaxed and looked after. I would definitely stay again, especially if seeing a show at the Concord Pavilions.

Thank you for taking a moment to write a review. Regretfully our pool was closed for a few weeks for a complete renovation during your recent stay, but it's back open and brand new now. Sorry for the inconvenience. Sorry to hear that coffee was not replenished, as typically we have plenty available in our restaurant and Starbucks kiosk in the lobby. Plus we have complimentary coffee/tea in the guestroom for our guests. The tourism assessment is a local area mandated tax. Our total taxes in this area are 13% and a 10 cent assessment per night. This applies to every hotel in the area and it's not a fee we have any control over, sorry for the related confusion. We provide complimentary upgraded Peter Thomas Roth amenities (shampoo, soap, conditioner, and lotions) in all our rooms. They are single use but housekeeping will provide more as needed, free of charge. Larger bottles are not offered, as to reduce waste. Thank you for understanding.

I found everyone delightful from the parking attendant to the Restaurant Staff... I had to take a Notary class and then had to take a test and was glad I stayed with Hilton! Best night of sleep I have ever had at a Hotel..

I stayed at this hotel three times in the last three months (March - May) because it was so good. The bar area is nice and open, with a Starbuck's there in the morning. The business area is large with easy access. Nichole at Starbuck's remembers names and drinks and always offers a great morning welcome. Prior to my stay, I was contacted by one of the managers to verify a few details about the number in our travel party. She took care of all of our needs. There area a few renovations going on - elevators, the pool area, but this keeps the hotel in good shape. The gym area is nice, the lobby always has fresh water available and overall this hotel is a keeper, otherwise I would have found another one for the 2 weeks total that I stayed there.

The restaurant is very good, creme brule is oh so wonderful, but the speed of service is a bit slow to the point we were wondering what was going on.

An added bonus is the shopping area you can walk to across the street. There is a Panera Bread, a running shop, REI and other shops to visit. Also, a running trail backs up to the creek that is behind the hotel. I watched a kind hearted citizen feeding a few stray cats that live across the creek and gave her money so she can continue buying them food. I NEVER give money to strangers, until I watched her pull up every night to take care of those little animals that someone discarded. They are across the waterway and not a threat to the hotel or running trail.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the back of the hotel.

Have stayed here a dozen times in the last few years. They recently started charging $15 for overnight parking. During my last two visits, there is always one elevator under renovation, so the wait is unreasonably long.

The rooms are still nice and clean, but I'm bothered by the ancillary charges.

I understand that it may be changed to a doubletree with a lower price point soon. If that happens, I may re-evaluate whether to stay again.

Thank you for taking a moment to share your feedback with us. We appreciate your loyalty as a valued guest. Not sure where you heard that the Hilton Concord will become a Doubletree, but this is definitely not the case. Hilton Concord will remain the full-service Hilton Hotel that it is today for many years to come.
Our Elevator Project is a major upgrade with a price tag of over a million dollars. The old elevators from when the hotel opened in 1983 are being replaced with high-efficient high-speed modern elevators that are cutting edge. We have 3 elevators servicing our guest floors of the building, only one at a time is taken off service for replacement. It regretfully takes months of work by professional elevator repair crews, per elevator. We now have 2 of the three guest elevators replaced with brand new units, so the impact to you and other guests moving forward will be virtually no existent as the two new elevators move quicker than when we had all 3 old elevators running. When the third elevator is done, it's going to be amazing and you'll love it!
We're constantly finding ways to increase the guest experience by making our hotel better. We appreciate your patience and patronage! See you again soon.

The overall stay was good. The hotel and amenities were fine. Except you have to pay $15 for parking, $5 a night for a microwave, $5 a day for laundry facilities etc. There is NO continental breakfast. Which threw me off. The charge a service fee to eat in room and a $3 fee to bring it to your room. It seems like they nickel and dime you for every thing. The rooms were beautiful. Close to many restaurants, The Mall and Waterworld. I left a day early because the fees just kept adding up. I just went back home.
