“Acces from Airport to the Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

It is better to use a train from San Francisco airpot to the Concord station (which is located near the hotel). You can pick up the shuttle bus to the hotel. The cost is about 10$. Taxi is about 200$. It is expensive!

You make an excellent point and a very helpful comment for other travelers. BART Trains (Bay Area Rapid Transit) are by far the easiest, most inexpensive, most reliable, and green/eco-friendly way to get from SFO or OAK airports to Concord Station. Hilton Concord does provide complimentary shuttle service from Concord Station to the hotel. Visit BART.org for fares, time tables, and planning your trip.

The room was nice and clean. The bathroom wasn't overly large and the door was always in the way, but it was clean which is my first priority. The shower handle is one of those different ones you have to pull out on for water, then turn left or right for temperature, but they were nice enough to put a decal just above so you're not trying to figure it out. The gym was good sized and had three of the newest high end treadmills from Precour. They also had a stair climber, three ellipticals, a jungle rack, good selection of weights and medicine balls. I didn't discover until later they have a jogging track. I didn't eat here so can't speak to the food. Front desk staff was friendly.

The hotel placed us in a handicapped room, we asked to be moved but were told this was all that was available. It was grubby and had no bath. There were two double beds in the room, which was far too small to accommodate this amount of furniture. We are able bodied; I can't imagine how someone would navigate it in a wheelchair. For the price, we expected more. However, I have to say that all the staff seem so pleased to serve. The free shuttle service is really excellent; they will take you anywhere in the area (including BART) and collect you when you're ready. The pool was small but well kept. If you have children, it's a 10 minute walk to Waterworld. It's a 40 min BART ride to downtown and the shuttle takes about 5 mins to get you to and from the station.

Despite the room, I might still be tempted to give this hotel a 5 except for a $15 a night parking charge, which is ridiculous. You're in a distant suburb of San Francisco, where free parking is the norm.

Room Tip: Don't get stuck in an 'accessible' room; ours was grubby.

We're definitely sorry that you did not get the type of room you reserved. Please do come back and stay with us again in the future. Stop by the front desk and ask to speak with me, the front office manager. I'd like to personally make sure you're enjoying your stay the next time you're in the area. I'd like to earn a five star from you!
In regards to the parking, we offer full-service valet for only $18 and self-parking for $15. Our parking rates are actually much more reasonable than the other full-service hotels in our area. Even though we are suburban, almost all hotels in this area do have paid parking. For $3 more, try out the valet - it'll definitely be worth it with the added convenience & service you will experience.

Overall we had a nice stay at this hotel. The rooms were big and modern, and the beds were very comfortable. They had a good pool. It is right next to an East Bay Regional Trail (Iron Horse Trail), so I was able to go for an early morning run and bike ride. Also, right across the street from several good restaurants. The only negative was an awful smell that started coming from the bathroom as we were getting ready for bed. A maintenance guy came right over and realized the vent fans for that area had stopped working. He fixed it, and by the morning, the smell was gone. They do charge $15 for self-parking, which I could have done without. If in Concord I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Some of the 2nd story rooms have a partially obstructed view because of the duct work.

When we first checked in, everything appeared to be nice, including the staff at the check in desk. However, when we walked off the elevator for our room, (on the third floor) we were greeted with the sound of a yapping dog. Then we turned the corner to see we were the room immediately next to the elevator. I actually requested a quiet room, because I am a light sleeper, but that request was clearly ignored. I immediately called down to the front desk, to tell them I could not sleep in such a lousy room, but they basically said too bad. Fortunately, the dog eventually stopped barking long enough so that I could hear the the sounds of a major roadway below my room. This was the worst night I had in a hotel since I can remember. The only reason I gave this hotel two stars instead of one is because the room was actually nice. This could have been a good experience if I wasn't such a light sleeper - or if they put me in a quiet room like I requested.

Cusegrad, we're truly sorry to hear that your experience was far from desirable. We are a pet friendly hotel, but typically most travelers have quiet and well-behaved pets. When you reported the issue to the front desk, it definitely should have been resolved for you quickly. As a result of your review, we've taken steps internally to make sure that guests who request rooms away from elevators, ice machines, etc.... get what they need if available. We certainly hope you will stay with us next time you're in the area and give us another chance!

The hotel was clean, the rooms were comfortable and warm.
It was located about 50 minutes far from San Francisco city by Bart (which is the subway of the bay)
Staff members were nice and sweet. There's a shuttle that brings you from the hotel to the Bart in about 5 minutes, and brings you back.

This is a great stay from start to finish. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. They offer a great wine selection, and happy hour every day. If you decide to eat at the hotel, you will be glad you did. The fire oven pizzas offer a great appetizer or meal. Several outside areas are available to sit and relax. A class act on all accounts. They continue to offer a good value for the price.
