I have been to the Sherman Garden twice now and have not been disappointed. It is relatively small as gardens go but has beautiful plants and flowers. They allow Photographers to use Tripods as long as they are careful not to damage the plants.

I have liven in Orange County for longer than I would like to say, and this is a place I take out of twoners that never disappoints. If you are a garden or flower lover, this is the place for you. The floral scapes change with the seasons and are always beautiful. There is also a succulent area and the steamy green house filled with delicate Orchids and other special plants not seen on a walk around your local neighborhood, no matter where you live, unless you are a bottonist and most of us arn't. The Cafe Jardin is also filled with a tasty lunch menu and great desseerts. But you better call ahead, because it fills up fast. I also never miss going to their adorable gift shop that has seasonal as well as regular items like books on plannting, special aprons, cards and much more. It is a little pricy, but if your only going to go there once, grab what you like, because it won't be there the next time you go. By Ellen Jones of Irvine, CA

The gardens are located on East coast highway in Corona a Del Mar and offer a nice place to visit horticulture displays of beautiful plants, flowers and trees, all attractively arranged. There is an audio guide for your cellphone which describes each of the plants and shrubbery as you stroll through different types of gardens. There is a koi fish pond and a turtle pond and two beautiful fountains to gaze at. Plan to spend about an hour looking at tropical, desert and mountain landscapes. We especially enjoyed the hothouse with its display of orchids. The cost for entry is very low and you will marvel at the wide range of flowers and shrubs. we wish we could take home many of the growing plants and flowers

I have attended a handful of receptions at Sherman Gardens. For a facility that sits off a busy street, once you are beyond the entrance gate the outside noise seems to completely fade away. Perfect setting for a wedding reception!

If you like different flora displays then this is worth a visit. The cactus garden was really original and great for ideas. The flower garden and pool garden were also good with artificial bird statues made from wood and concrete - another idea if your creative. The shop was well stocked with a variety of goods not just garden related. We didn't visit the library other than to read about the development so can't really comment.

The staff both in the gardens and shop were helpful and friendly. So if you have gardening questions , give Sherman a visit and ask them.

Warning - whilst the gardens are great think twice before eating at the on site restaurant, it's not that good.
