“Great Beach”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

The beach is in front of the Loews Resort. We plan to return to this stretch of beach, even if we have to stay at an alternative location. The beach seems to be populated with locals, and there are no dogs allowed. I felt like it less commercialized and back to nature.

“It's a parking lot!”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

We live 20 miles aways so we go as often as we can get a site, but it truly is a "parking lot" on the beach. If you are fortunate to get the front row ($65.00 a night), it's great, but the 2nd,3rd, and 4th row are really tight. The only way to make it work is to invite your camper friends and create a compound so you don't feel bad when their table is 3 inches from yours and you can hear them snoring at night! The water and electrical were added recently and are a major plus. No more loud generator all day long!! A lot of people complain about the camp hosts, but for the most part, they are just doing their job. Some of them get a little cranky at times and appear to "profile" certain individuals to pick on. I just wished they would make an 11:00 PM round and re-inforce quiet time. The beach is nice and there are always lots of shells, but the sand is not pleasant at all. In the name of be eccologically prudent, they do not rake the sea weed so it justs sits there looking ugy and drawing lots of flies. So bottom line....go if you really enjoy being close to your fellow campers and don't mind lots of people in a very small space.

“fun day”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

The beach cost $10 for use and it also seres as a camping site for a larger fee. We were guaranteed parking close to the beach unlike what we would have experienced at Coronado. The sand is REALLY fine with silver/gold sparkles everywhere. it's a hort beach so we had to move our beach blankets a few times as the tide slowly crept in. Lots of sea weed washing up, made it a bit dirty looking because of it. great swim, great waves. Good sand castle making sand. Life guard on site. Showers and restrooms on site. Made for a pleasant day.

“The only beach we had to pay to visit”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

$10 to get into this state park beach. You'll find sea shells here and fewer crowds than at Coronado Beach. We thought it was boring, but others might like it because it's quieter and less commercial.

“Nice spot”

Conveniently located, plenty of parking, clean. The bathrooms left much to be desired, though. Easily accessible to the hotel.
