“Good Barbecue and Service”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

Was with a large group on a Saturday night. The waitress and management did a great job of politely, patiently, and efficiently making accommodating us. The barbecue was excellent, the menu varied, and the portions generous. There are lots of different sides to choose from. I had the pulled pork plate with corn fritters and baked beans. My next Coronado visit will include a meal at Lil Piggy's.

“oops! we DID make little piggies out of our selves!”
Reviewed 21 November 2013 via mobile

Some locals told us about this place.
It is down by the ferry landing off of 1st Street. We happened to get there at happy hour. I had the one pound stuffed (I mean loaded!) baked potato with brisket, YUM! it came with a beer or soda for $8!!! my husband had the two meat platter, choosing ribs & chicken. It came with 2 sides,
both meals were excellent! We ended up taking some back to our hotel room. The employees are very friendly. There is limited seating, however it appears that most of their business is take out. We highly recommend going here. You will not be disappointed.

“BBQ and a View”
Reviewed 12 October 2013

Reasonable prices for the area and really good BBQ. I had the (loaded) Texas baked potato with pulled pork as the meat choice. You can have brisket or chicken topping if you prefer. It also had sour cream cheese and bacon bits. I ate the whole thing! The BBQ sauce was sweet and spicy. My husband had a beef brisket sandwich with coleslaw. The brisket was tender and tasty. You can have take out or "sign-in" to dine. Seating is at large picnic tables so you may meet some new friends who are seated with you. (We chatted with a gentleman who had just flown into San Diego and took the ferry to Coronado to attend a wedding.) Service was efficient. It's a busy restaurant so be prepared to wait during prime meal times. Sodas are huge so no need for refills.

“WOW! Awesome bbq”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

We both got the extra large plate for lunch thinking we would take half home for dinner but it was too good, we managed to get it all down in the early afternoon sitting.

“Not Quite Phil's, But Not Bad.”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

Without question our favorite BBQ place in greater San Diego is Phil’s near the Sport’s Arena on the city-side of Point Loma. That said, during our timeshare stay in Coronado, we tried and liked Lil’ Piggy’s Bar-B-Q at the Ferry Landing. The sauce was tasty and not too hot (hotter sauce available on request.) The pulled pork was lean and tasty if a bit dry. The sides are standard fare for a BBQ joint, but taste even better than one might expect. If you’re in Coronado and not up to driving across the bridge to Phil’s, Lil’ Piggy’s won’t disappoint.
