“Watchout”
Reviewed 13 July 2013

Beautiful day in Coronado but horrible walking tour. Our tour guide walked way too fast, 3 people had to drop out of the tour. She apologized but did not change her pace or offer a refund. The tour guide was very opinionated about Hotel Del. She made remarks "like a Disneyland" and voiced that kids should not be allowed in the Crown Room for Sunday Brunch. She commented on the million dollar condo (Coronado Cays) and the jets flying over dropping jet fuel on them. She even remarked about some "yahoo" who installed a brick fence, impeding the growth of a tree on the street where "Wizard of the Oz" author lived.

“Guided walking tour of historic Coronado”
Reviewed 28 June 2013

I never realized the history of San Diego & Coronado was so fascinating! This 90-120 minute guided walking tour begins in the Music Room of the Glorietta Bay Inn (across the street from The Hotel del Coronado). Our guide was very enthusiastic, entertaining & knowledgeable. She had photos from the very early years of Coronado. After 1/2 hr of information & photo sharing in the music room we began our walking tour across the street through The Dell and then along the water. Did you know the raised sand dunes spell Coronado? It was a very interesting guided tour through the historic streets with beautiful homes in Coronado.
The tour was Tues, Thurs & Sat at 11 pm. Our tour on a Sat early June was not crowded.

“Would be a mistake not to visit it. Some advices in comment”
Reviewed 10 May 2013 via mobile

THIS IS THE VIEWS for San Diego

Advice
Take a taxi from downtown
You will be able to have a good time on the crossing bridge without taxi
Then go to the hotel del Coronado. It is iconic and so nice on the beach
Then walk omnirange street until the 1st street to cross the island on the nicest street.
Then appreciate the view on downtown
Them go back home from there with the ferry. 10 minutes. No Sea sickness. Cheap. Best views.

“Beautiful manicured lawns and old houses”
Reviewed 27 April 2013

Walked from the ferry drop off point to the Hotel del Coronado for a drink and back by bus to the ferry point. Visited some great shops along the way, and had lunch in an old diner right out of the movies. Lots of servicemen and women about the town enjoying time with families, nice to see. Great ice cream in some shops too!
