We spent a wonderful, relaxing, memory filled 5 days at the resort. Even though there was a huge convention on site, we never felt neglected. Elizabeth from the concierge desk went out of her way to make sure we had information on area sights, transportation options and Old Town Trolley tips. She was great. Matt the second shift valet driver was outstanding-personable, friendly and filled with humorous stories. I ran into a problem with my camera and
Christine from the gift shop was able to secure packaging material to assure that the item would arrive home in one piece-bubble wrap to the rescue.
While a bit off the beaten track, the hotel shuttle service was readily available to get us to and from Coronado. The beauty and serenity of the resort was truly welcomed after long days of sight seeing.

Room Tip: We were upgraded to a room on the second floor-area 4-did have a partial bay view. If able to arran...

The hotel is very nice, constantly updated to keep pace with newer trends, vs the Coronado standards that are targeting a different demographic. We have only been here for meetings and the service and banquet food have been consistently above average to excellent. The only disadvantage is the distance to Coronado proper or San Diego. But if you are looking for a nice get a way with nice amenities, you will not be disappointed. And if you have a car, all of the local attractions are close by.

First off priceline treats this as 4 star..so you can expect that kinda service and prices;)
It is located about 3 miles from downtown Coronado ..the staff are very friendly and ready to help at all times..pools are clean, towels warm, the bay is beautiful to look at.Since this is located on the bay side there is a golf cart shuttle to the sea side..the sea side here is very very weedy..but we got free rentals on beach chairs ,umbrella and ride:)..
The food was just average and not much on variety, especially the kids..we liked the pool area..drinks are 10 and up(resort prices?)..
We played tennis ,ping pong(nice addition on the poll deck),chess(with large pieces on the pool deck)and walked by the marina in the evening
A breakfast buffet included in the price would've made this an excellent stay(it's only good)

Room Tip: All rooms have a bay view or pool view..bay is not that pretty to look at..just the harbor very faaa...

The only reason this isnt an excellent hotel is that the property is on the other side of the beach. The amenities, rooms, and property is very nice. The service was fantastic - from the front desk to the bartenders, they were very good. Shout out to Callie Sims for her positive and cheerful attitude

We spent 4 nights here at the start of a 3 week trip to the States. We had planned these days as a wind down time before moving on to the next stage of our journey.
We arrived late at night after a deayed flight but we're welcomed and helped by the front desk staff. Our room had a pool view, not too noisy at the time we were there(9th -12thJune). We made good use of the hotel shuttle service to downtown Coronado, but this does need to be booked in advance.
All the staff were very friendly and interested in us, very different experience for us Brits!

We enjoyed a great family reunion here, and overall we were pleased. However, I booked our 2 rooms over 9 months ago, requesting a high floor for each. Our flights were very delayed and we arrived quite late, to find our 2 rooms on the ground floor, pretty much overlooking a parking lot, with the bay in the distance. We made our problem known and we changed rooms the following morning, ending up on the top floor in building 4, with an awkward bay view. However, 2 people in our party arrived the day before we did and were housed in building one, the closest to the lobby, with a pool view. When we requested to be with them, we were told there was no way, as building one with a pool view was a "premium room", although we had all paid the same price and booked our rooms within days of one another online. We declined to split hairs, as at least the Loews was accommodating, but clearly that made no sense. We settled for our semi-bay view, with views of others' balconies prominent. We ended up in building 4, way far from the lobby. If I had to do it again, I would have refused this building/rooms as well - not worth the money with limited views, given that others in our party had much nicer accommodations for the same price. Live and learn - our fault for not kicking up some further dust. Anyway, building 4 is not where u want to stay - a long walk to to the lobby and only partial bay views - views of other people is what you're getting. However, not all was lost. The pool was beautiful and the service was stellar at the pool - loved it. My only recommendation overall is to have a separate line in the lobby at The Marketplace for those of us looking for "coffee only", as some days we spent a good 20 minutes on line, waiting for a simple coffee behind those ordering egg sandwiches, toasted bagels, etc. There was a single line that stated "coffee and food" - not the most efficient process, as "coffee and food" pretty much encompasses everyone. Also, on our last day, we were told that iced tea and coffee had free refills at The Marketplace - we had no idea until that day and had already spent upwards of 60 cumulative dollars on additional coffee refills. So to sum it up - call head and be VERY specific about the building/view you want, or even better - don't book online - call it in, as my family all paid the same price and ended up all over the place, some of us in places you would rather not be housed. Bottom line, be clear about your room preference and don't forget to refill that coffee cup. Lastly, the Market's policy changed every day. Not a big deal at at all, but I ordered an iced coffee with cream and sugar for breakfast 4 times in the outdoor, seated area. Day one, my coffee arrived with cream and sugar - nice job, by the way - it was great. Day two, my coffee only arrived black - I was told to put in my own cream and sugar (OK, no biggie, but inconsistent). Day three, my coffee arrived with cream, but no sugar - I was told the sugar was my problem. Day 4, I got sugar, but no cream - was told the cream was mine to add. Again, I have no problem adding cream and sugar, or any combo of either, but get it together - I had a headache wondering what I was getting. Overall, a nice hotel. I would consider it again, as long as I locked down my room in advance.

Room Tip: Building one is closest to the lobby, with a view of the pool.
