Our family recently stayed on Coronado Island at Loews. We had experienced excellent service at Lowes Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson before, and they did not let us down! The staff is courteous, friendly and respectful. Loews provides their guests with complimentary cart ride to the beach and upon arrival beach towels, boogie boards, chairs and umbrellas at NO charge for Silver Strand Beach. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves out on the beach! There's also a free shuttle into downtown Coronado as well. Be sure to make reservations. We weren't aware of that but they were able to accommodate us at the last minute. There's alot of lounge areas around the hotel, a spa and 2 pools. We were also in building 5 which was really quiet, so that was nice. The Market downstairs is nice for quick snacks/meals or food to go - however, expect the typical resort pricing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our family will be returning and hopefully participate in some of the boat rentals/jetskis next go round. My only wish is that the double beds were queen beds! Now that is an adjustment when you are used to a king. :)

Everyone was extremely attentive and pleasant--they really went out of their way to make sure you were enjoying yourself. The rooms were very nice. I liked the fact that they had an adults-only pool, although enforcement was lax. The poolside bar was fantastic as well.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, with great amenities, stunning views, comfortable room, spacious bathroom, great room service, delicious food, yummy specialty drinks!

This resort was recommended to us by a friend. Originally we were going to stay at The Del Coronado, but the friend said this resort is smaller, neater, not so crowded, cozier and more secluded. Yes, we were very happy with the selection (and the cost)

I gave this hotel just 4 points rating because of couple reasons. First - there is no such a thing as Adult Only pool area. Don't get fooled by the sign " must be 18 or older". There were kids and families with kids every night, especially after 5-6 PM
I was surprised no one reported that to the staff, but, I guess, no one wants to be a bad guy. That wasn't too bad, not too many kids, but if you want just relax without hearing exited kids screaming and talking none stop, you won't. Cuz that's what kids do :)

Another reason was - we stayed in the building 4. room 4102. What seems to be a great location - literally 10 seconds walk from the room to the Adults only pool - turned out to be a bit uncomfortable. While sitting on our room balcony, we had no privacy because the pool side' lounge chairs were 5 feet away from us. So we could hear every word people said and, of course, they could hear our conversation as well. It's like being on the stage :) My hubby liked to have a cigar with our wine and we clearly disturbed some people by the pool with the cigar smoke, I don't blame them , some people don't like cigars. I wish they didn't put these lounge chairs so close to these few rooms on 1st floor. Once again, that was just a few rooms in the building 4 on the first lever. Other buildings were just fine.

Hotel staff was supper friendly and very accommodating. The pool service was uneven - one day was absolutely great - I think her name was Erin - very attentive, yet not annoying, suggested a few great drinks ( the drink of the day was Orange Dream - YUM!!!!), suggested a few meals and even a few places to go for dinner. On the top of everything, she made a reservation for us on Friday night at The Brigantine restaurant - great table for two by the window! Wow! She was amazing!

The other day there were two associates serving the pool area, but we both were invisible to them , so my hubby had to walk to the bar to order us drinks.

Overall great place, supper delicious food. One of the best gazpacho I've ever tried , great restaurant with an amazing view, beautiful outdoor patio with a gas fire pit, yummy appetizers delivered to our room with a chilled wine. Clean beautiful pool with the water temperature just right - not too hot, not too cold - just very refreshing, nice background music (when kids are not around :)
Good time!

We will be coming back

Room Tip: try to avoid room 4102 and 4103 in the building 4. if you like to sit on the balcony or keep your wi...

From our arrival to our departure, it was a huge disappointment. Our $699++ a night suite was not worth it. The room was outdated with an old tub, old TVs, and a tree blocked our terrible view of a shipyard!

First trip to the San Diego area and staying at the Loews Resort made the trip super relaxed and fun. The room was clean and comfortable. Room service was fast. The coffee shop/to go cafe was super convenient for a quick, light breakfast or lunch. The prices were a little high there, but you should expect that at a resort. We used the beach service one day and it was a huge bonus, we wish we had had more time to spend another day there. We appreciated that the hotel was a little off the beaten path. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Not a bad drive into San Diego to do all the attractions. By far the best random pick we have ever done for a hotel.

The best part of this hotel is the concierge staff. If they could get the rest of the property up to their level they would get higher marks, I would rather stay at the hotel Del Coronado for the same price and better view. The hotel has nothing wrong with it but nothing right either. I would not waste my own money here, Company meeting and I left early even though it was free. I can stay anywhere I like and this is not it

The Coronado Loews offers a beautiful setting to make memories with family. We spent 8 days at the hotel including July 4th and the view of the fireworks was incredible. What distinguished this hotel was its exceptional concierge staff. Their sincerity, good nature and anticipation and exceeding my family's needs was incredible. This was my 15th wedding anniversary and my special thanks to the E.M. concierge extraordinaire for service above and beyond. Hands down they have the best pool complex on the island with separate pools for kids and adults with plenty of space for everyone. I've recommended to my friends on Facebook and I would recommend it for you and yours.

Room Tip: I recommend the bayside rooms facing the bridge for ultimate views from sun up to sundown
