Room was comfortable, however, hot foods tasted institutional - very bland. Noticed other guests asking for more coffee and the employee was very stringent in filling the coffee pot. Street noises can be heard in the room. Close to shopping and the water.

This Best Western in Coronado was truly wonderful. I would highly recommend this fabulous location and can't wait to stay there again. I have stayed at several hotels over the years and this was one of my most enjoyable spots. Coronado, CA is such a gorgeous area and if you have never been...it's time you go. Again, staying at this particular Best Western was such a delightful time.

The Best Western on Coronado Island, California, is an excellent place to stay. Staff and amenities were great. Breakfast and parking are all included. This is the first time that we stayed at this hotel on the island. Staff was excellent. The room was clean and the bed was perfect. They actually change the sheets and pillow cases, every single morning. This is the first time I can actually say that this hotel is a number 10+. When we come back to the island, which we will, we've been coming back for over 30 years, the BEST WESTERN will be the one that we pick.

For those of you living in Southern California looking for a wonderful weekend getaway, you have got to visit Coronado Island in lovely San Diego.

We recently attended a wedding that was held in the famous Hotel Del Coronado, but our budget did not include spending over $200 a night (their rates run over $300 per night). I searched far and near and was very lucky to find Best Western Plus Suites Hotel, located on the Island itself, located right off the bridge on the corner of 3rd and Orange. Let me tell you, I am very picky on how clean, comfortable , quiet and safe a hotel has to be and this hotel met all my demands. And with prices prices under $200 per night (parking is free), you can't do any better. The positives: Each room is a suite; meaning that we had a living room with a couch, chairs, flat screen t.v., desk and a little kitchen area with a frig and microwave. Then you will find two french doors that when opened, lead you to the bedroom. Ours had a king size bed and mandatory non-smoking Each room has its own air/heat and flat screen t.v. The negatives: IT IS NOT FANCY at all. The free breakfasts are included that is not exciting, but for free (?) you can't ask for more.

Staff were friendly and helpful. I asked when the hotel had been remodeled and was told in the last few months.

Coronado Island itself is expensive with no free parking and the food is on the higher side as well. Again, if you want a 4 star hotel, then this is not what you are looking for, but if you are budget conscious as we are, then I recommend this hotel to anyone! We will stay there again on our next visit.

Room Tip: I asked for a quiet room because I am a light sleeper and a very non-smoking room. I recommend the r...

Check in experience was a pleasure. Very friendly young lady.
Our room was comfortable & clean.
Unfortunatly, I was a bit disappointed with the ammenties. There was a microwave, but no plug anywhere near it to plug in. we had to move it across the room to the desk to plug in.
We had several rooms and not one of our rooms had blowdryers in the rooms. We called the front desk and were told they had them available to pick up down there.
I have never stayed at a Best Western, much less a PLUS Best Western that did not have blowdryers in the rooms. This was an inconvience. Other than this it was a cozy hotel.

We booked this trip last minute...we normally stay in Mission Bay or Downtown San Diego.
1st time staying in Coronado.

Booked with mixed reviews but glad we didnt listen because this hotel was great!

Check in fast and simple 1st room had alley view, 2nd request was 204 over looking Orange Ave. Looks like a new remodel and room decor outstanding. Big and open and mini frig and micro wave and sink makes it a nice way to make snack or re heat up left overs.

Didn't have issues with traffic noise and sleept with window wide open! closed it was completely quite.

Nice court area and breakfast room was outstanding with nice design and furniture.

Full hot breakfast was a great way to start ones day. Eggs, sausage, hash browns, fruit, cereals, toast, beagles, juice and coffees.

One day we eat there, once in courtyard, last day in room.

Staff nice and pleasant and Housekeeper Carmen outstanding!

Nice pool didnt use but it was used by others.

You can see the bay and downtown from the hotel parking lot. Its about a block way and can pick up the Ferry to downtown for $8.00, then Trolley (light rail) around town.

Was impressed with the location, simple neighborhood, homes and condos, great locals and restaurants with in walking distance.

Beach is about 1 1.4 can walk it, drive or local shuttles/bus every 30 min. If you drive you spend more time looking for parking.

Would rebook in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing Orange Ave

We stayed in a suite with our 3-year old at the time. The room had a living area with a sofa bed and separate bedroom. It was wonderful to get him to bed at a decent hour and be able to watch a movie in our bedroom! The room was nice and clean. The hotel also had a washer & dryer available, which was a life saver. We could walk to the beach, but we did have a car so it just depended how early we were able to get up and out. The breakfast was included and it was a busy place, but was nice to get something easy to eat in the morning. The food was what we expected-cereals, bagels, pastries, fruit, etc. The area is wonderful and had some good restaurants within walking distance. There was also a great park with walking/jogging path along the water! It was a great value and I would go back.

Room Tip: The suites are wonderful for families. I would request the upper level and stay away from the lau...
