We love this hotel, we have stayed 4 times here in the past two years. The staff is always very helpfull (thanks Dan). The location is perfect for us, we love the island and the hotels location is awesome. It is close to the bridge both coming and going (it took us 15 minutes to get to SeaWorld, and 10 minutes to get to the airport), Albertsons right down the street, a nice little dock area located near the grocery store with food and shopping, the beach in front of the Del is just a short drive away. The room was clean and spacious. The fresh fruit in the morning was amazing, although it was a little crowded they did have seating outdoors & it was a holiday weekend. We have stayed at the Glorietta Bay Inn and they are two very different hotels, if you are looking to spend more money for a romantic getaway then splurge and stay the Glorietta Bay Inn in one of the mansion rooms or stay at the Del. For all other travel, business, family trip, groups (our parents had a room here at the same time), weekend getaway this is the best deal for your dollar!

I stayed at this hotel since it was the only one in Cororando that was within my travel per diem. It's a pretty basic hotel, a good place to use as a base if your not going to spend a lot a time on the hotel property itself. The bed and pillows were very firm, not my to my liking, but others may prefer it. The hotel is within walking distance (a mile or less) of restaurants and the shoreline. The neighborhood where its located is very nice and safe to walk around.

We are locals, but needed a place to stay for a couple of nights while some things were being done to our house. The suite we had had plenty of room, although the bathroom was kind of dinky, and the sink was in the main bedroom space. The only problem we thought there was, the bed linens seemed to be worn, slightly pilled, and felt rough/scratchy. The quilts on the beds also looked a little worn. Otherwise comfortable!

This was our second visit to Coronado having loved the area when visiting a couple of years ago. We previously stayed at the Glorietta Bay Inn (which was fantastic) and knew that any other hotel would have difficulty living up to our experience there. However, Coronado has only a limited number of places that had rooms/suites large enough for our party of 5 and so we chose the Best Western for 3 nights at the end of July.
The outside of the hotel was pleasant although the pool area looks like it could be cleaner.
After a six hour drive from Las Vegas we arrived a few minutes before 3pm and the receptionist pleasantly asked if we would like to check in. When I said yes he told us that check in doesn’t open till 3 so we had to stand in the empty reception for about 5 minutes until he decided that we could check in.
We were allocated a suite on the top floor and whilst I believe that all rooms are none smoking – it is shame that there is the smell of smoke (and ash trays) on the walkways as you head to the room.
We had room 314 and the first thing you notice is how dark it is. The living room window looks out onto a partially covered walkway (see photos) so that you need the room lights on even during the day. There were many rooms even more hidden than ours so I hate to think what they are like.
The bedroom looks out onto an alley with only a view of the house opposite with an electric substation right outside the window.
The sink is in the bedroom and we found that it was partially blocked taking hours to drain and also resulting in a not too pleasant smell.
Breakfast is included and gave a good choice of cereal, fruit, toast and pastries. However, the breakfast room is just a small room on the ground floor was gets very crowded.
However, the hotel is well located just a few minutes’ walk for the ferry landing (shops, restaurants and ferry to San Diego) and it’s a slightly longer walk (about 1/2 hour?) or a short drive to the beach down by the Hotel ‘Del’.

Overall perhaps we were too spoilt on our last visit to Coronado but we got the impression that the hotel was a bit ‘tatty’.

I wanted to stay on the island but was traveling on the company dime. This was the only hotel on the island in my price range ($160/night). The room was basic with a mini fridge. Our view wasn't great and the room was kind of small, but for the price, it was fine.

This hotel is within walking distance to the ferry landing (restaurants, shops, the ferry). While walking you can't help notice the AMAZING views.

The pool is tiny and the hot tub even tinier. The hotel does provide a free continental breakfast with hard boiled eggs, cheese, toaster waffles, etc. There isn't a lot of room to sit so get there early.

The staff here isn't the friendliest and when I asked for an extra conditioner, got a look like I had asked for breakfast in bed. They do have a computer with internet access so flight check in and printing your boarding passes was easy.

We stayed there both before and after going to Disneyland. Both times the room was very spacious, clean and nice. The second time we checked in the TV didn't work and they moved us to a room next door. They were very willing to please. The breakfast in the morning was great. The hotel was conveniently located. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. The price was reasonable and the hotel was only three blocks from our daughter who lived there.
