Stayed here for our anniversary. Very nice hotel and comfortable room. Surprisingly large room with a full kitchen that we'll make use of on our next visit. The staff was very friendly - even one of the maids took the time to ask how our stay was and invited us back. Convenient location next to a movie theater and a great restaurant (really good food). Cozy and quiet setting with lanterns around the pool and spa, and an open fireplace. The waffles, etc for breakfast were good and a greater selection of food presented than I've seen at other hotels.

Room Tip: We had a top floor room overlooking the mountains and the pool. Convenient to the Golden Gate bridg...

We were in the area doing some fishing and wanted to stay somewhere that we could cook our catch and relax before heading out for another day on the water. The king suite has a nice layout - super spacious kitchen, dining area, living area, and bedroom. The full size fridge and stove were good. Full size coffee maker and a full pot of coffee equally good. The furniture was a little run down and the sofa was dirty. All of the linens seemed very clean. In general this place was fairly clean. There was a flat screen TV on the living area wall with quite a few channels and a tube TV in the bedroom with the same. Internet reception was decent in the room.

There were only 2 towels and I have long hair so there weren't enough for the both of us. This would have been ok had the hair dryer actually worked. The walls are thin - we could hear every word of the guy downstairs' phone conversation. Thankfully the hotel wasn't full because I am certain it would have been much noisier - you could easily hear people walking down the other end of the concrete outdoor walkway. Garbage pickup happened at 4am and again at 6am right under our window, but we were already fitfully sleeping on the crappy mattress. Not good. If you plan to cook, you will need more than the provided dutch oven likely. I think that if we had requested more stuff, the staff would have been happy to accommodate. They seemed very nice. The pool and hot tub looked nice, though we didn't use them. We were told the pool was 80 and there was a dad and kids in it at 9am when it was only in the 50s outside, and they seemed pretty happy.

Breakfast was much better than anticipated. It is amazing what difference a hot waffle and fresh fruit salad will make when you are expecting cold strawberry filled pastry.

All in all, we probably would not choose to stay at this hotel again based on the amount of noise and the bed comfort - just not worth the $140 price.

My family stayed here and we were blown away at how nice this hotel is. I love that they have a fire place, communal area, where you can unwind and enjoy conversation with other travelers. The pool and hot tub were the icing on the cake. The king sized bed was incredibly comfortable, the robes were too!

Room Tip: My husband, daughter, friend and I shared a king size room suite. It was the perfect size for us all...

I regularly stay at this hotel and am always pleased with the service and hotel itself. I love the beds and sheets, towels and space in the rooms, the internet connection was great and the staff all very friendly and helpful. The only minor thing was the shower could be a little stronger.

Convenient location, all attendants. We're helpful and pleasant to interact with. Room is spacious, although the bathroom is getting a little dated. Close to a great restaurant, Brick and Bottle. Coffee at breakfast was good..unusual!
Good value for the area, we have stayed at the Marriott at Larkspur landing, newer and pricier, the BW Corte Madera and think this is the best option.

Stayed there with my 13-year old son for a water polo tournament. The location is convenient and the rates are competitive. The person working the front counter, Adam? I believe - was very attentive, polite and professional. The room itself - a studio with two double beds and a kitchen area seemed ok at first until I discovered disgusting stuff on the side of the toilet. I don't know how the cleaning staff would have missed it. In addition to that - the bed was very worn and very spongy and the wall heater creaked during the night. The room also have metal doors which are very loud when they close shut.

The continental breakfast was pretty good as far as continental breakfasts go.

Although the rates are good and its nice to get a kitchen area -the major negative here is the shoddy housekeeping! Disgusting! I won't be back.

I just stayed in SMH and found it rather convenient. It is well located, just minutes away from a shopping centre. The hotel is clean and pleasant. Staff is friendly and nice. It does not have a restaurant but there are many just around the corner. The kitchen is fully equipped and I could have dinner there and not go out if I chose to.
