We had a reservation for dinner at Pinot Provence. It started off well: we were seated at a table in a corner--a really private place to sit. We wanted an ice wine, spatlese, or a botrytis wine, but the restaurant did not have the spatlese wine that was shown on the dessert menu. They had only a Dolce wine for $30 a glass. We finally asked for a sweet Riesling, and our waiter brought a bottle and poured us a glass. Had we read the TripAdvisor reviews first, we would have brought our own wine. We wanted duck breast, but at 7 pm they were all sold out. Our second choice, lamb shoulder, was tender but swimming in beans. The green vegetables were very nice. We ordered truffle mac and cheese and we could taste the truffles quite distinctly. Yet this delight was not sufficient to encourage us to order dessert. The manager came to our table a couple of times, but we really had no complaint that he could fix. We'll come earlier before the duck is sold out and bring our own wine next time, if there is a next time.
