“Good atmosphere. Food is okay”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 via mobile

We visit them at nigh. Very beautiful mall and restaurant. But food was okay. With that price, I expect better quantity. Check their photos and other reviews, you will have good idea about it.

“Good but if you are looking for Cuban...I would go elsewhere”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

Lets start with the good...1. Atmosphere. The restaurant is inviting, has a great patio and is located in a wonderful and unique hidden gem of a shopping area and very cool old trailers made into shops 2. The help is very welcoming and makes you feel at home...3. The food is served in or on blue tin plates and pots which is pretty fun.

The not so good...1.Well the food actually. We had a seafood dish - clams and greenlip mussels. Both were so tiny that once you (over cook) them you could barely find them in the shell. 2. The Paella was adequate with a good variety of seafood but the spicing used appeared to be exactly the same as the clams... they tasted identical 3. You will really not find many true Cuban dishes so be aware. 3. The Mojitios were o.k. period. 4. ATTENTION: Get there early....like by 5:00 of parking is a true nightmare. There is a popular Japanese restaurant in the same area and simply not enough parking..

“Nice outside dining”
Reviewed 1 February 2014

Had dinner here January 28 with business friends. The patio area was great, especially to people coming from the cold, snow-covered Midwest. We appreciated the heaters set up around the tables and the many candle displays. We all ordered different dinners--salmon, chicken and the house specialty beef dish. There was something good on each plate, but no one thought their meal was exceptional. Our server was very nice, and we were well cared for. Parking is a bit of a challenge as the area has several other popular eateries and shops. I would try Habana house again but pick a different dish.

“Flan-tastic!”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

This place in attached to a cute shopping area, called "LAB, The Antimall." I will make this review uncharacteristically brief. The vegetarian empanadas lunch appetizer ($7) were delicious. The crust was lightly crispy, yet tender and oh so flavorful. They came with delicious banana-habanero ketchup, not spicy at all. The lump crab cake lunch appetizer ($12) was wonderful. The 2 small crab cakes were lightly charred, done just right. Accompanying was horseradish aioli, and baby greens in a flavorful, delicate orange-sesame vinaigrette. The flan ($5) was one of the best I have ever tasted, and I've had many good ones over the years. The consistency was thick without being too thick. The taste was heavenly. I could definitely detect a hint of rum, although I can't say whether the dessert actually contained alcohol. I would return here for the flan alone! It even outshone the flan I had recently, at the well-loved Porto's Cuban Bakery and Café in Downey.
