My children and I stayed at the Philadelphia Hotel on 24 June 2013. We found the motel via the Internet and called ahead to reserve a room. The gentleman who answered the phone was very nice and spoke good English. We were traveling on our own via a rental car so we were happy to have a motel at a good price with someone who spoke English waiting on us.
We arrived and met the clerk. Parking was along the street with construction debris everywhere. We went to our room and found it dirty, smelly, and dangerous. As you can see in the pictures there was a computer in the room with the sides off. We also found an open electrical junction box, and stains, mildew, and filth in the room. The window has cracks big enough to see out off. The room reeked of ciggerates.
We went to breakfast the following morning and found a very small selection. There was an open door in the dining area with a two story drop straight down to the street. Paint was peeling above the sugar and coffee.
We found this motel dirty and dangerous. If you happen to stay there is a restaurant on the corner in front of the motel. We found the staff to be very rude and my impression was they were avoiding serving us. Also the bible new testament church Philidelphia was located in the same town. There is not much to see except ruins of a wall.
