“This was a Completely Perfect Stay in the woods!”
Reviewed 18 January 2010

Just returned from a long weekend at this great place, having stayed there once last year also. Last year we stayed in the motel in a nice room with a fireplace (!) and it was great. This trip we stayed in one of the cozy cabins ("Shy Bunny") with a beautiful fireplace in the living room and a great kitchenette There's nothing like being in a cabin in the woods with a warm fire blazing. Convient because it's so close to Lake Arrowheaad and Big Bear, but even better because Crestline is a small town and Sleepy Hollow is on the main road.
Up the street is Lake Gregory, small enough to stroll all the way around, and the town itself is completely walkable.
Trina showed us some of the other cabins, each is distinctive and in the office Nancy had good advice on the nearest attractions. They have a good movie selection too and players in each room/cabin.
Totally recommend this affordable getaway. You won't regret it.

The Sleepy Hollow in Crestline was a wonderful weekend getaway. The owner Trina was an excellent host. She keeps each unit impeccable. as well as the grounds. The cabins are located in a quaint town & I thoroughly enjoyed the Antique stores. So, if your looking for a great weekend retreat from the hustle & bustle of the busy week & you enjoy antique shopping this is the place for you. I recommend Sleepy Hollow. My hats off to Trina Brettman.

My friends and I spent and weekend at the Sleepy Hollow and it was just great!
Not far from San Diego and so much to do in the area, you have nature, good restaurants, pubs, lots of second hand/retro shops to buy things.
Trina Brettmann the owner went out of her way to see that we had everything we needed
and tell us how to have fun in the area!
Just a great weekend/vacation get away,.

I went for a mountain getaway with a couple of friends and figured we would have a nice relaxing time. It was just a short trip up the mountain to Sleepy Hollow. I had no Idea how beautiful it was up there. The cabins are spotless and tucked in under tall trees with only the blue sky looking in. We made no real plans but the the owner was there and she mentioned the Oktoberfest celebration was going on at Lake Arrowhead. She gave us great directions so we would find the place easily and even mentioned a place on the way back to stop and see the incredible sunset views (Strawberry Peak Lookout). I'm glad I brought my good camera. The next day we decided to take another recommendation for breakfast. The owner sure knows her stuff. She told us exactly the best breakfast place and we could even walk there from Sleepy Hollow. We took our time coming back stopping at the great antique shoppes lining the street. I only wish we had planned to stay longer. Going to go back again soon to ski and in the summer to play in the lake and ride the water-slide!

What a wonderful place so close to home! With only an hour of driving, we were able to completely get away. There were so many things to do in town and in the woods. It was very nice to come back to the cabin and swim in the pool and soak in the hot tub.

My husband and I have gone to Crestline for years, in fact we lived there for a short time. We love the town and found Sleepy Hollow to be our favorite place to stay! The location is perfect, close to restaurants and the local stores. Last month we did not call to see if they had openings and when we got there they had someone that had made reservations but not there yet. They made it possible for us to get our same room we always stay in. They even called and made dinner reservations for us at the Antlers in Blue Jay. And this month we called ahead and reserved our same room. We always get to Crestline early have breakfast then walk the lake and drive around til 11:00 check in. This time we met Trina at the lake she said our room was ready Justin had our key and he turned the Air on for us. Now I call that Customer Service. We just love Trina and Nancy.

We only stay at Sleepy Hollow and there are many good reasons why.
First, the service is excellent!
Second, the cleanliness of the room and resort is far superior to anything in the San Bernardino mountains.
Third, the location is excellent and other stores are close by.
Fourth, the owner and staff go out of their way to accommodate you. Even allowing you entry to your room before check in time.

Finally, I have read other reviews of Sleepy Hollow and can only surmise that the people who left bad comments, are just bitter tourists.
