Owner description: Lake Gregory stands amid a cool cedar and pine forest in the San Bernardino Mountains. But don’t let the pastoral setting fool you - the park teems with activity throughout the year as nature lovers converge for a wide range of recreational activities.People flock to Lake Gregory to enjoy its cool 84-acres of surface area for swimming and water sports. Each August, a 2,500-year-old Chinese tradition comes alive at Lake Gregory in the form of Dragon Boat Races. The elongated canoes seat 12 to 20 people, and a drummer beats a cadence to set a pace for the paddlers.Other activities include a fitness trail with exercise stations, picnic areas with barbecue grills, fishing, a skate park and model boat area. Four-legged friends are welcome at Lake Gregory’s dog park. The park lodge is available for events ranging from weddings to company parties.

“Family Day at Lake Gregory”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

We have children with families of their own and we met at Lake Gregory recently. The water features attracted us actually and a day in the mountains. I have to say we all had a great time and there was something for everyone to do. The biggest surprise I have to admit was simply the feel of the sand in the swim area--- it was beyond gross! They have these lovely huge air mattresses to lounge in the sun on and it is only knee deep water to get out to them. I was hoping to swim out to them but bc it is only knee deep walking out in this slimy dirt was the only choice . . .ugg!

The cost is deceiving too, It is one price to water slide, a second to use the inflatables, and a third to get in period. This allows you to use just the swim area beach and the sunning mats. The website does not mention this and children under 5 were free but make sure you tell them you have children under this age or they just charge you . . . . small issues but when you have 10 people it adds up!

“Nice lake, sandy beach”

this is now run by a private company. The lake has a great play area for kids. There is food and drinks or you can bring your own. They now charge to park in the lot.

“My Son's New Favorite Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

We visited Lake Gregory this summer and had a wonderful time. We ended up spending most of our day there and my son was busy the whole time. There are lots of inflatable water toys and 2 water slides to keep everyone busy. There is also a splash zone which looked like great fun. There is a fee for parking in addition to the admission fee. There is also an extra charge to use the slides and inflatables, but it was well worth it. I believe you can buy food, however we packed our own picnic lunch. I noticed that there were grills available for the public to use. I would suggest that you bring a beach umbrella or canopy to set up while you visit. There are not very many shady places to hang out in when you aren't swimming. Folding chairs would also be useful, too. Be sure that you ask for a military discount, if you are military.
