Limited menue but the burgers are good. There is nothing fance about this place. They are often out of this or that and the owner is trying to sell it. It is popular with the kids on their way home from school and an alturnative to McDonald's.

This quirky little place looks like it's been there since the drive in days of the 50's. It's a tiny little place but it's all part of it's charm. The owner is quite a character and the food is delicious. It's a cash only place to don't whip out your plastic. The burgers are great and it's location is right on Lake Dr right across the street from a McDonalds but there's no competition since anyone looking for a delicious fresh burger will head to the A before going to McDonalds.

They do have some pretty eclectic hours so it's really hit and miss on when they are open.

Great burgers! The owner is a wonderful woman who makes you feel very welcome. You can tell she loves making people happy with good food.

The A is still hanging in there serving great drive-in type fare -- burgers, hot dogs, some Mexican, and -- of course -- the shakes and malts. It's not a huge menu but, when one sees the size of the place is smaller than many folks' living rooms, it can be understood. The owner (the lady who will usually take your money) seems to have mellowed at least a little bit from the great "Soup Nazi" review left by Sorschaa, but she is still a character. Whether due to supply or perhaps the owner's mood, have a back-up order in mind because some items will not always be available. The wait here, even if you are the only person there, is longer than a lot of similar places but at least the food is cooked absolutely fresh.

While it is plain this used to be a small A&W (one of their old menus still sits in the window) and that the building could fall over with the slightest push, don't let that cause any fear. You will get good, clean food here that is far better than the clown place across the street.

Not really a restaurant but it has the best hamburger in town. You can't leave w/o trying the malts...like they used to make...REAL malts--amazing. Love this lady, she runs a nice business and service is always great.
