We stayed 3 nights at this motel...we were s group of 6 and took 2 rooms. We searched very hard for a good value hotel and could not find better considring the location and value for money. This is not a 5 star Four Seasons or Hilton...this is Sunburst Spa and..We were not expecting miracles...we had for what we have paid for.It is clean, the staff is friendky, especially the lady at the reception when
we checked in on 9 August.
We were given the rooms at the far end of the motel so we didn't hear any noise from the street...It is true the motel nanagement should make an effort to improve the breakfast...but apart from that tje motel or hotel whatever they prefer to call it is ok.I cannot understand some of the reviews from other customers who had particular problems specific to their room and who give a very negative feedback...Things can happen anywhere...once we were in a 5 star hotel in Rio and the whole sink broke slighltly injuring one member of our party, we did not write a negative review of that hotel! Please , fellow reviewers, be objective and take into consideration all aspects of the place you are reviewing , and their context....

This motel is exactly what you pay for; a room to sleep in. If I were reviewing this hotel purely on value for dollar, I'd give it 5 stars - though the WiFi was a bit irritating with drop outs and speed. Overall, if you're in need of a place to stay at Culver City this is a safe and convenient choice.

We used to live in Culver City and now return regularly for medical appointments. This motel is conveniently located for trips to UCLA, the beaches, the airport and other West side locations. It is right off the 405 for convenient car travel (most rooms are not affected by the noise). There are a number of restaurants within walking distance, and Downtown Culver City is a short bus or car ride away (numerous restaurants, bars, movie theaters etc.) The rooms have recently been renovated--new bathrooms, carpet and furniture(a few of the rooms were still in progress when we were there a few weeks ago, so I assume they are done). The rooms we have stayed in have kitchenettes with a small refrigerator and a microwave. No coffee maker, but they serve a decent continental breakfast in the lobby. I have found the staff to be very nice. I feel this motel is a hidden gem in an area where prices can be very high. Definitely would recommend it.

Room Tip: Try not to reserve the rooms in the front, on the street. They would definitely be noisier. Also, th...

We chose this place because we were on a budget, but we couldn't believe how terrible the condition of the rooms were. Even the cheap motels we've stayed at in the past looked great compared to this place. Our biggest complaint was the plumbing - every time anyone in a room close to ours flushed a toilet or took a shower, it sounded like a waterfall was running through our bathroom. It was impossible to tune out that noise. Our shower was extremely difficult to turn on, and it dripped even when it had been turned off for hours. The toilet also dripped, and the sink wouldn't drain until we unscrewed the stopper ourselves. The front desk clerk didn't care about our complaints at all, and we had to wait over 24 hours to speak to the manager who didn't care either (he just stared at us without offering an apology). The wifi didn't work at all until I complained for the third time, at which point they finally decided to stop saying there was nothing wrong and checked the connection (funny how it started working then...). The towels had multiple stains, the bedspread was stained, there was a black bug in the bathroom, the bedsprings were completely shot, the phone ringer couldn't be turned off at night, and the ceiling creaked loudly every time people took a step in the room above ours or walked on the outdoor corridor upstairs. This motel also has a mandatory daily housekeeping policy; we requested to have no housekeeping and were told by the front desk clerk that our room had to be cleaned daily "in case you drop food on the floor and ants come." I couldn't imagine a place less welcoming than this.

Very clean and convenient location. Outside entrance to rooms. Small pool but shaded when we returned to hotel. Front desk nice. Outdated furniture but okay for staying the night. Had an elevator to get to upper floors.

Clean room. Location is great for Culver City and 10 minutes to the beach. For $100 a night, one would expect a little more, but it's LA, in Portland this would be a $49 motel room. Bath linens. are like sandpaper. Good Italian place down the block on the corner, Villa Italian.

Room Tip: Away from the street

The room was big enough, the staff were nice enough, everything was clean enough. It's busy though, need to reserve in advance. I am not sure if the little pool by the reception was the "spa". We were busy anyway and didn't use it.
