“Fun, but too loud”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

Visited here with a friend for dinner, and had several of their specialties starting with the roasted brussel sprouts, and grilled cheese sandwich. Both were good, but we also ordered their a few other dishes that took awhile coming out of the kitchen. Our waiter was nice, but didn't pay attention to us after we ordered. The restaurant gets super noisy, and unfortunately, we couldn't hear ourselves talk. It was a little disappointing, but would like to try it again to see if it improves in a few months. Cost wise it was reasonable, and it seems to be a local hangout.

“Just okay - overpriced and so loud you can barely talk.”
Reviewed 15 April 2013

This place was just okay. The pros - The wines were tasty and pricey by the glass, and the beer selection was unique and not the same old craft stuff you see everywhere. Most of the food we got was tasty, yet not worthy of the price charged - if they came down a few dollars on everything they would have it more right. The fries were underwhelming. Also, it is LOUD in there - everything in the tiny place is made out of hard surfaces and the sound reflects like crazy, so you end up yelling to someone two feet away from you. Kind of annoying and I'm not sure why restaurant owners don't consider acoustics along with everything else. I'd maybe go back to try other things on the menu, but honestly, I'm more inclined to go to nearby Waterloo and City or A-Frame. Also, it's no reservations, but when we showed up and inquired about an empty table we were told it was reserved. Um, yeah.
