“Come for the food, stay for the drinks”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

A night out with my lady friend found us at the Rib Joint. We almost drove by, as there wasn't much curb appeal. However, I'm always up for an adventure, and this place did not disappoint.

The place has a salad bar, the potato salad here is a bit on the spicy side. The coleslaw is very good, and well balances. The Ribs were very good, and our steak was cooked to perfection. The portions are on the generous side.

I would rate this place higher, if I were not a better singer than the band that was playing when we dined here.

“Great ambiance great owners”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

This is the quintessential road house bbq place. I love it! The feeling is traveling coast hwy 50 years ago with a wood fireplace, big booths and a hillside back dropped patio. Great music and a bar that rivals the "local" bar you have at home. Delicious ribs and meats served with cornbread and a salad bar that most describe as .... interesting. (Try the curry flavored pasta with raisins).

“Good Food.”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

OK... this is a little place. Old, but right on PCH. We ate there in the afternoon, so the restaurant was not busy, but there was a crowd at the bar. Locals, I presume. The baby back ribs were good and the service was excellent. Now, you can't compare this to an upscale restaurant because it is not. You'd probably think of it as a dive. But, that is the character of these old places in the beach towns. We will be back

“Good things? Hmm... Friendly staff and good beer....”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Well... We visited the place because of their advert saying "Best ribs i CA"....
The bartender was nice and so was the beer - nothing else good to say about this place.
We ordered Prime ribs - supposed to be the best on the menu and they were very rich and felt like chewing gum. Very poor indeed.

Would never recommend this place to anyone!

“Okay, borderline poor”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

As a person who loves to smoke their own meat, as was not impressed by their baby back ribs. Food was warm at best and the ribs needed the help of the BBQ sauce. Well cooked ribs should not need any sauce.
