Having waited 6+ years to return to Chart House in Dana Point it was time for a reset. Host/ess stand experience was like before. Disjointed. 3 different staffers asked name, then although there early for reservation, was told to wait over here until the manager greeted next guest in line. The manager was disinterested and joked about the multiple greetings at the door. He was not professional in the least. Once seated our server (Casey?) was wonderful. Smooth, unobtrusive, knew his stuff. A real pleasure. The food, as usual, did not bowl us over, but it was tasty. Two had prime rib, I had salmon. A side of mushrooms finished the dinner. Started w/crab/shrimp/mango appetizer that was delicious. My biggest concern w/this place is management. Ohn yes, bar was without Grey Goose AND martini glasses. A missed opportunity to upswell. At table, still no Grey Goose available. Again, this place has a management problem. Felt bad for the friendly, capable bartender who had to make excuses. Overall....a B or B-
