Stayed 3 nights at the end of May in a sea side view room. The room was on the ground floor which afforded it a large terrace and a view of the ocean if you turned your head. The room itself was rather basic and plain and the bathroom had the shower within the tub, I prefer a separate shower stall. Toiletries were Ritz Carlton brand was a bit of a disappointment as I was expecting the Bulgari that was present the last time I stayed at a Ritz Carlton. The pool, restaurants and common areas are all beautifully decorated with fresh roses. The restaurant was well staffed but other areas of the hotel seemed a bit light on staff (hard to get service poolside) . Overall it was a nice experience but next time I am in the area would be tempted to try out the Montage.

What a beautiful hotel. Rooms lovely we had adjoining rooms with our 2 girls. Side sea views. Also had the club level facilities which is one of the reasons we stay with Ritz Carlton. The staff up on the Club level were amazing could not do enough for you. But the rest of the hotel staff were very thin on the ground. We had major problems here with alsorts but I must say the hotel were well aware of what was wrong. They tried to fix everything to make our stay a good one.
View from the restaurant is stunning. Beach lovely lots of surf. Buggy takes you down and picks you up. Chairs and boards if you require them.
My husband went up to the St Regis and played golf. He said the course was good.
Had a spa treatment - we've had many treatments all over the world but they did seem to be very expensive here. On check out please check the bill carefully over changing was ridiculous! A wonderful place - they just need more staff.

It's a gorgeous location, however the rooms are kind of blah and it's really, really expensive to eat here. The shampoo/conditioner/lotion/shower gel they provide is made exclusively for them and is alright. The drive to get here must be beautiful along PCH, however we arrived in the evening and that drive is more tedious w/o the scenery. Google Maps directed us on this route :(
They have an evening bar overlooking the ocean which is wonderful at sunset. Champagne brunch was yummy. But again, it's pricey to eat here. The lobby is definitely 5 star, as are the flowers throughout the public spaces.

The beach is quite a hike, but I think they can drive you down too. Valet cost more than our rental car at $35 per nite. But there's no close airport - I think it's a bit crazy to charge for parking.

We just spent 2 nights here in an ocean view room. Spend the extra because it's great watching the surfers from morning until the beautiful sunsets. The restaurant had delicious meals that would satisfy anyone. The gardens are very special as you gaze out onto the ocean. At night, the outdoor bar is illuminated by laterns and it is truly magical. We didn't march down to the beach as the temperature was in the high 60's but we truly enjoyed our stay. The resort fee includes internet and loungers by the pool. Parking is extra.

Beautiful, modern resort with great service. Views are spectacular, the beach is classic surfer california and not crowded. My son experienced an ear infection the first day of our stay, his discomfort at breakfast was noticed by a staff member who promply brought a warm compress. We had to return to our room before eating and she personally brought our breakfast to our room and provided directions and phone numbers to the nearest pharmacy. Several days later, when she discovered during breakfast again. we cancelled a scheduled whale watch, she went to the harbor and bought a small octopus stuffy for my son as a gift. The front desk was very helpful to us during our stay as well.

We stayed here for 3 nights for a combo of business and leisure. The hotel is in a beautiful location with fantastic views. The service was outstanding and friendly, and the facilities impressive. However, we were very disappointed in the guest room. It was basic, small, and dated. The marble in the bathroom looked old and there were large rust stains on the shower wall. The carpet was looking worn and dingy. The bed had nice linens, but was too soft for us. Lighting in the bedroom and bathroom were insufficient. We called the front desk and asked if they could move us to a room that had been renovated more recently. They said that all the rooms had been renovated at the same time, so we didn't bother trying to move. Renovating the guest rooms would make this a fabulous property. The way they are now, they feel more like a basic Marriot rather than a Ritz.
