“Creative locally sourced food in a gorgeous setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner at The Stonehill Tavern in the St Regis Hotel. We sat out on the patio overlooking the Monarch Beach golf course and Pacific Ocean. Our meal was so creative and delicious. Nothing I would have known how to prepare at home. I had the black cod in a miso broth and my husband had the filet mignon surrounded by uniquely prepared potatoes. Both dishes were amazing and prepared to perfection. Our waiter, Zach, recommended the squash blossom starter which was incredibly tasty too. We both felt our meals were worth the extra money as they were so flavorful and good. We even splurged on sorbet for dessert. HIghly recommend this restaurant to celebrate those special occasions.

“Disappointment with Michael Mina restaurants continues”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

This is a very costly restaurant that does not deliver a quality dining experience. The two bites that constitute the hamachi appetiser were pleasant. The lamb was overcooked and the kitchen refused to acknowledge it and sent the plate back-now overcooked and cold. The salmon was so overcooked it had the texture of sawdust. The potatoes had the texture of raw apples.

“Disappointed ”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014 via mobile

We had dinner at Stonehill after reading some good reviews. We were on time for our reservation and were seated right away. Booths were available but they sat us at a table in the midst of an endless stream of servers, runners, managers and bussers. There was almost always someone buzzing around us. However it still took about 20 minutes between our drink order and ordering our meals. We were literally getting up to walk out when our server miraculously reappeared.
The food is really not even worth mentioning as it was nothing spectacular.
We didn't stay for dessert.

“Borgeous Restaurant and fantastic food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 May 2014

We have eaten here several times and love it. When you enter there is the most beautiful modern glass wine display and it goes up from there. The views are breathtaking, but just as importantly the food, wine, service are excellent. Have had about half of the items on the menu and never disappointed. In the beautiful St Regis Resort, a beautiful property.

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2014 via mobile

My wife and I spent the weekend at the St. Regis to celebrate Mother's Day. She deserves it! Stonehill Tavern was amazing. Great service and food. Didn't have a reservation but were able to seat us at 8:30 with only a 10 minute wait at the bar. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend the Lobster Pot Pie if it's on the menu. Wife had the Trofie Pasta and it was amazing as well.
