if you are looking for a charming local watering hole in the Dana Point / Laguna Niguel area- you need go no further than Brio Tuscany Grille in Dana Point. A wonderful variety of food; live music most nights (Tuesday through Saturday); a classy bar, a spacious outdoor patio with heaters; and last but not least a REAL DANCE FLOOR. Not sure there is another dance floor like it in South OC. I recently had the filet medallions, the cobb salad, and the spinach salad, and a delicious chicken curry soup. All excellent. All in all a charming and friendly local watering home. "The CHEERS of Dana Point."

Always a friendly crowd at the bar enjoying early dining specials and cocktails. Bartenders Kevin and Matt provide excellent personalized service. Early dinners are a treat.

These were Claudio, our server's, words as he delivered each beautiful course. We didn’t, because we couldn’t wait to start eating. The desserts were the best part of the meal, although we enjoyed our salad and fish entrees. The service was superb and made us feel like we were back in Italy. Gracie mille.

We had a discount coupon for a 5 course meal. We were seated outside and like previous write-ups even though the heat lamp was on it was still chilly. The 1st course was the meat and cheeses and two bruscettas. It was ok. The bread was chewy and the meats were average. Could have thrown in better cuts of meats. The second course was the salad and soup. My friend had the lobster bisque which she enjoyed. I had the blue cheese wedge which was ok. It was nothing to write home about. The bacon bits tasted like they had been sitting around for awhile and the lettuce could have been cut without the outside layer which was wilted. The third course was cheese raviolis. This too was just ok. It just seemed everything that came out was bland. No flavor. The fourth which was the main course I had the veal with a cream sauce pasta. The veal was dry and hard to cut and chewy. The pasta was bland and needed salt as well as some kind of flavoring like maybe basil or oregano??! My friend had the swordfish which she enjoyed but her tomato based pasta was too salty. I must say that they give huge portions. The final and fifth course was the ice cream. This was the best. We throughly enjoyed the flavors of the various ice creams provided.
I don't thinks I will be coming here again just because there are many other italian restaurants in the area that have better food. Maybe that's why they have discount coupons all the time??? Maybe they need to revamp their menu or have a Restaurant Impossible Episode. Robert could definitely help them in the kitchen.
